Who was the patron of the Knights Templar. There is much of Templar history which is shrouded in mystery as well as much that has been spun into wild stories and wacky speculation.

One of the best explanations for the final disposition of the Templars is that they ended up insinuating themselves into other orders of the church and, perhaps, into what would later become initiatic Masonic orders.

Christopher Knowles on his blog the Secret Sun has also posited a connection between The Normans/Vikings and the Phoenicians/Venetians/Templars. One of the settlements of the Norman people in their expansion from Scandinavia is Malta. This from Chris' blog post:

"The Normans too were intrepid sailors and almost certainly financed their military adventures in part through piracy. From icy Norway they settled in the rainy northwest of France, before establishing island kingdoms in England, Sicily and Malta, in addition to their conquests of Antioch and northern Africa."

But we are not here to talk about the Templars. The SMOM was created in 1050 in Jerusalem under the name of the Knights Hospitaler. In 1099 it became a military order. It operated from Rhodes for over 200 years and Malta for over 200 years until being ejected by Napolean after which they settled in Rome, after a brief sojourn in Russia which may, or may not, have led to a split in the group, more on that later. The Order is recognized as a sovereign state under international law and has permanent observer status at the UN.

Both the Templars and the Knights of Malta were direct tools of the Roman Church. The grandmaster of the Order holds the status of Cardinal within the Church, and during the Holy Roman Empire held the title of Prince. This was and is a hugely influential order in international affairs. Ultimately the Order, at least on paper, answers to this man.

The Order is probably best known for the people who are and have been members, as well as the history of those folks.

In 1927 the Order established a branch in the United States. Among the first members were industrial magnates and tycoons, in other words the American aristocracy. John J. Raskob, Chairman of GM, and named a conspirator in an attempted coup against Roosevelt, was one of these first members. Some others included John Farrell President of US Steel, Joseph Grace of W.R. Grace Co., Joseph Kennedy, and Cardinal Spellman. All of them very powerful and influential people, and most involved with some kind of illegal, immoral or unethical activity. In Spellman's case it was a financial hold over the Church, his homosexuality (immoral only in the sense that he was an official in the Church which viewed this as immoral) and his sledgehammer tactics toward Latin America as well as encouraging the US to enter the Vietnam war to prop up the Roman Catholic ruling class there.

Most of the membership of the SMOM comes from European aristocracy. Franz Von Papen was a member that paved the way for Hitler to come to power in Germany.

He was prominent in the early Nazi government until marginalized and finally forced out after Nacht der Langen Messer (Night of the long knives). In relation to the Nazis it is well established history that the Church was largely silent in the face of the atrocities they committed. Also one needs to remember that the Vatican, and also the SMOM, were implicated in helping wanted war criminals escape from Europe after the war.

I think you can see where this is going. In the twentieth century SMOM was involved in a lot of intrigue and nefarious activity. One might come to the conclusion that SMOM serves as a dirty tricks department of the Vatican. This included Project Paperclip which led to many strident Nazis coming to the US to work for us after the war. Italian aristocrat and SMOM member Baron Luigi Parilli served as a go between in some of these negotiations.

Baron Parilli would surface again after the war working again with the OSS/CIA in Italy to prevent a communist government. James Jesus Angleton (SMOM) was a key player in this affair as well. He had been sent into Italy to collect and protect Prince Valerio Borghese, a SMOM member, who would survive he war to be an integral part of the rightist/fascist element in Italy and also connected to the notorious P-2 lodge.

These connections would place SMOM in the middle of Operation Gladio which served to destabilize Italy for decades after WWII.
There are many members of the US intelligence establishment that have connections to the SMOM. Many of these folks coalesced around the JFK assassination and continued to be prominent on up to today.

When one talks about the Kennedy assassination you are confronted by a curious group known as the Shickshinny Knights of Malta. Which is an alleged splinter group from a time that the Knights had been centered in Russia after their expulsion from Malta by Napolean. If possible this group was even more hard right and fascistic than the SMOM itself. It also does not have a definitive standing in the Church which could just be a way of distancing the Church from their activities. Some of the members of this organization are Phillip J. Corso, which obviously brings to mind..

as well as Charles Willoughby, General MacArthur's chief of intelligence. This group was the single most active group of people to promote the idea of a deeply embedded mole within the CIA. That, of course, led to the witch hunt of James Angleton.

Which brings us to the current crop of presidential candidates. It is not easy to confirm that Newt Gingrich is a member of the Order but Rick Santorum definitely is a member.

Santorum certainly makes waves and a name for himself by his ridiculous stance on many issues that are so far right that he'd hit the wall, if there was one. Hi early career had him as a lawyer for the firm Kirkpatrick and Lockhart, which became K&L Gates which happened to make the headlines in recent years in Pittsburgh when an employee, George Sodini, shot up an LA Fitness center.
His career in politics started in the House of Representatives, where, apparently he still was more or less human because he did vote against NAFTA as well as voting in favor of a bill that would prevent employers from permanently replacing striking workers. Once he made it to the Senate all semblance of humanity left him and he made a concerted march to the hard right and has kept moving ever since. SMOM has always been affiliated with the hard right, particularly fascism and extremism of the right. Santorum fits right in. He added an amendment to the No Child Left Behind act that would have allowed schools to teach intelligent design as a science in their schools. That provision was later removed before passage.
He was involved in some ethical problems involving the National Weather Service and a private weather company Accu-Weather, which seems to have "donated" money to Santorum to propose legislation that would have prohibited the NWS from releasing weather data for free if there was a private company (presumably Accu-weather) that could provide the service. That bill did not pass but it did earn him points on the corruption meter.

Where the real pay dirt is to be found in an analysis of Santorum is in his regard to women's issues, reproduction ,abortion and foreign policy.
Santorum has stated that rape victims that conceive as a result of the brutal act should view the child as a broken gift from God, and apparently opposes abortion on any grounds. (Even though before running for congress he described himself as pro-choice.) He has been highly critical of one's "right to privacy" saying that it is his belief that the constitution does not guarantee that right. This is the basis for his stance on contraception (a no-no) and apparently abortion. He radically opposes same sex marriage and has been decidedly vehement in his opposition to anything related to homosexuality. It is my experience that the more vehemently one comes out against homosexuality the more it is a repressed feeling that the person has. It would not surprise me in the least if Santorum were gay. One must keep this in mind in light of the huge scandal of molestation in the Church, mostly of the same sex variety and the allegations that homosexuality is rampant in the Church and Church orders. Interestingly Santorum wrote on the Church scandal and attempted to blame "liberalism" rather than the priest pederasts and rapists.
One of the more grotesque displays put on by Santorum was the handling of the unfortunate death of one of his children, which happened shortly after birth. The corpse was brought home and introduced to the family prior to funeral and burial.

Santorum is firmly in the Neo-Con camp in foreign policy and is gung ho for war with Iran. He has stated that Iranian scientists being murdered is a good thing and that there should be more of them being killed. He is a solid tool of imperialism and military adventurism.
Santorum is part of the dirty tricks team of the Vatican, the Sovereign Military Order of the Knights of Malta. Having a title of a foreign nation is proscribed by the constitution (accept if approved by Congress) for any public officer but lacking penalty it seems to be largely unenforceable.
Santorum is another avenue to far right theocratic governance that would seek to outlaw or spurn any deviance from accepted Church doctrine.

Are we ready for a Knight of the long knives in the US? I rather think not. And this does not even attempt to delve into the Opus Dei of which Santorum is also a member.....

The Mormon Church has a picturesque history. The "dime store" summary is that Joseph Smith, a treasure hunter, who used "seer stones" to locate buried or hidden treasure came across buried golden plates which comprised additional historical material that added to the Bible and told the story of the Americas and how the Gospel came to this land. It was written in a form or hieroglyphic writing that could only be translated with seer stones one symbol at a time. The translated material became what is known today as the Book of Mormon. The religion, like the country in which it was formed was tailor made for white men, as other races were noted to be inferior in the eyes of the Lord and men could take multiple wives.

It is not the purpose of this post to critique the religion as a whole but some material should be noted to put things in context.
Joseph Smith was a Freemason and helped to establish a lodge in Illinois. Many of the rituals that are enshrined as sacerdotal in the LDS church are adaptations of Masonic ritual.
Many have alleged that the Freemasons were responsible for the death of Joseph Smith because he had stolen much of their secret material and incorporated it into his church.
It is also widely known that the church in it's early years suffered from a certain level of persecution and had to move repeatedly. It is probably in the cauldrons of this persecution that Smith would found the Danites as a means of protection for the Mormons but regardless of intent the Danites quickly became much more than an instrument of protection but one of inflicting murder and mayhem at the behest of Smith and his successor Brigham Young.

The Danites were formed in 1838 as a paramilitary, underground organization to fight the "enemies" of the church. Their activities were sanctioned by church leaders. They were also known as the "Daughters of Zion" and "Avenging Angels".
For a note of historical importance it should be noted that Sherlock Holmes inventor Sir Arthur Conan Doyle wrote a story in which the Danites featured entitled "A Study in Scarlet".
David Whitmer, one of the three witnesses to the Book of Mormon tells of the founding of this group and his persecution for trying to tell the leaders of the church of their folly in going ahead with this scheme. He eventually left the church and you can read about that here.
The original Mormon leader of the underground sect was Sampson Avard.
The sect was sanctioned to commit any treacherous act in defense of the Church including violence, lying and theft. The violence would also include murder as history would show.
There is much hand wringing over the issue of the Danites both within the church and without. Some claim the group was only briefly in existence and their activities were largely overblown. Others have it that this group continued on beyond 1838.
I find it hard to believe, as some do, that Avard could make up the inner workings of this group and it's purposes with such precision merely to keep himself out of trouble and cause consternation to the Church.
Eventually the Church would split into two distinct groups. One of which eventually would find their way to Utah under Brigham Young. There was a lot of friction between the Mormons and state and federal authorities as well as persecution on some level from the people as well.
In 1857 we had the infamous Mountain Meadows massacre, (which occurred on September 11 FYI) largely carried out by the still extant Danites. Some question whether Church leadership and specifically Brigham Young had a direct hand in what happened. It seems clear to me that Young was intimately involved in the massacre.
There was a period of intense pressure being placed upon the Church by federal authorities especially in regards to the polygamous practices of the sect and to the virtual fiefdom ruled by Young in Utah. It is at this point that we see the emigration of some to Mexico including the grandfather of Willard Mitt Romney.

The Church was forced to evolve over time because of the friction between them and the authorities. One of the biggest changes was the end to polygamy. Polygamy would be reinterpreted as a spiritual thing and not an Earthly manifestation. The Church would also seek to maintain a lower profile and it is in this context that the Danites could continue as a sub Rosa group that would morph, as many lawless groups would do, into a more "respectable" form but still adhering to it's original intent of defending the church and attacking it's enemies.
One of the first inclinations of the Mormons to move into the financial realm was with the Kirtland Safety Society Anti-banking Society in Ohio. Joseph Smith and Sidney Rigdon sought to get a charter for the bank but were turned down. This was an "anti-bank" that ran as a bank issuing it's own currency, even though it had no legal sanction to function as a bank.

This 3 dollar bill is believed by many to be the origin of the term; "Phony as a three dollar bill". The "anti-bank" issued currency in exchange for gold and silver. It folded and a large group of suckers were left holding the bag. This also was a blow to the church as most of the victims of the scam were Church members and many would leave the Church, disillusioned, over the fiasco. It seems that Smith had land speculation in mind when he started the "anti-bank". He and Rigdon fled Kirtland by night to avoid angry mobs of the defrauded.
The Mormon church would become one of the richest religious bodies with an incredible amount of land. In this TWENTY YEAR OLD STORY the amount of land and property owned by the Church was well over a billion dollars, and that was a less than thorough investigation. In that article you will notice that this is an issue of great secrecy in the Church as they do not reveal what they own or where, even to Church members. It is my contention that the "Avenging Angels" morphed into the financial wizards of the Church. It is because of the transition to acquisition that much of the real power in the LDS church would be focused in the financial sector. When we move forward in time we have the curious case of Howard Hughes.

Wildly successful businessman, ladies man, and bon vivant that would later degenerate into a paranoid recluse. There are many conspiracy theories related to Hughes. This post would be way too long to go into any of them in detail. But some flavor might be appropriate. Aristotle Onassis was alleged to be involved in his death. The US government was alleged to be involved. And so were the Mormons.
It is established history that later in life, after he had become a recluse, Howard Hughes had a "Mormon mafia" surrounding him and carrying on his affairs. Most of these people would have to engage in high level finance and law and would most likely be of the new Danite persuasion.
In this somewhat lackadaisical blog post the question is posed; did the Mormons plot to kill Howard Hughes?
In the structure of the short post you can see this as an operation. It would serve more than one purpose for the Mormons.
But we see a firmer and more concrete story in this post by Paul Drockton on the people connected to Hughes that also connect to Bain Capital, which brings us back to Willard Mitt Romney.
In the Drockton piece, which I urge you to read, one can see how Bain Capital may have served as a means to bleed the legacy of Howard Hughes and how this was accomplished by Mormons both close to Hughes and at Bain.
It seems that this operation would involve theft, lying, and violence. And what were the hallmarks of the Danites in the furtherance of the LDS church?
Even the Italian Mafia and other illegal groups would move into "respectable" business and continue their illegal activities but in a new "white collar" way.
Could Willard Mitt Romney be a modern Danite? If so will he put this to work for him in running for president? I believe the answer to both is yes.
I have alleged in a post at my website that Mitt is a psychopath. This is admittedly a layman's interpretation as I am not a clinician. But when one examines the actions of a predator in the financial industry and his clear inability to be pinned down on any issue it seems a small leap to make. When you add in his glibness and charm and his casual dismissal of the very poor, his support of corporate entities over living people, his love of firing people and much more that leap is smaller and smaller to make.
The Danites would have served as a magnet for sociopathic and psychopathic personalities both in it's grosser form as seen in the Mountain Meadows massacre and in the ruthless financial sector of today.
Romney is well entrenched in Church leadership by birth and by association. He is very influential in the Church and would be privy to much of what the church plans to do and with what it was involved. It is likely he would have known of the Hughes connection and might have been drawn to that operation.
Let us see how this story plays out.

Meet the New World Order, same as the Old World Order

Alternative media has largely lost it's relevance as one can note simply by listening to some of the bigger names in the field. I still hear the same old mantra about "fighting the New World Order". Some of these people have been saying the same thing for twenty years. Has the agenda of "exposing" this nefarious scheme resulted in anything substantial?

The answer should be obvious. The implication of many of the people warning us about the coming of the New World Order and the globalist world government and etc., ad nauseum, is that it is still "coming" and can be "fought off" from "getting here".
This assertion is false. The New World Order is here, right now, it is in place and in power. Political union is no longer necessary in the world of interlocking trade deals and a worldwide interlocking banking system. It's superfluous.
One can see the fruits of this reality by examining the history of the United States labor force and the standards of living in the USA. For decades unions have been decimated. Real wages have remained unchanged or gone down over that same period.

Even as productivity has increased. The reality is obvious. People are paid the same or less for doing more and more work. Interlocking trade deals have seen work moved to third world countries where costs are much lower, which has served to reduce the earnings potential of people in the first world countries like the USA.
The World Trade Organization and "free trade" deals like NAFTA, CAFTA, and all the others it guarantees the overall trend will be to depress the economies of first and second world nations down to the level of third world nations. It is to make all workers everywhere basically "equal" in serfdom.
The rhetoric of the political class has only served to further this idea. We constantly have heard the lament that unionized workers and public sector workers "make too much money". Which fosters the notion that they need to have their benefits stripped and their wages reduced so they will not be "getting over" on "the rest of us". Scott Walker has been a poster boy of this notion.

And the fascist governor Kasich of Ohio has also jumped on the bandwagon with attempts to curtail collective bargaining rights of public sector workers.

And despite the "Marxist legend" and the right wing clown like allegations that president Obama is a closet leftist and supportive of "union bosses" he has done absolutely nothing to stop the assault on the workers of the US and has worked behind the scenes to make sure that the assault continues by pushing for more "free trade".

With the complete takeover of his administration by Goldman Sachs and other financial sector representatives it is clear who is operating the strings, and it is not Karl Marx.
Not so long ago we have been told to beware of the coming North American Union and have even had the story of the Amero, the new currency of this political union.

The reality is that there is no need for political union and those that are still trying to sell the idea that we have to "fight the New World Order" are positing a false position. We are being told by these alternative media hypesters that we need to be fighting a coming political union when that is not going to happen and the actuality of the New World Order is already in full fruition.

When we have a central banking system in the US that gives loans to foreign banks and corporations to prop them up it is clear that the monetary system is global and that political union is unnecessary.

The facts are these. The New World Order is already here and is entrenching itself. And guess what? It is exactly the same as the Old World Order. Moneyed elites, international banking houses, and multinational corporations are the NWO and they were the OWO as well.

When we look at the current presidential race in the US we can see the agenda clearly being brought forward out in the open for all to see. There is no need to hide it anymore. The next step in this entrenching is to have the rolling back of the power of the nation state and that means national governments need to have their powers curtailed. In the US this has been touted as the "solution" to our economic problems by all of the lunatic Republican candidates and the current president who simply refuses to use what authority he has and allows the assault to continue.
In Europe we see the so-called "sovereign debt crisis" being used as a means of curtailing the power of nation states. There is no sovereign debt crisis, there is only a bankrupt banking system that sucks money from the people in Europe and then leaves the countries on the hook for bailouts to the financial overlords.
We see the stage set for the continued entrenchment of the NWO financial overlords by the rhetoric of the current establishment and it's assault on the "crushing burden" of federal regulations. What this means is that the corporate overlords want to have the freedom to dissolve the differences between the workers of the first and third worlds as well as the environmental laws, rights to organize, access to healthcare and all the rest.
Many people buy this rhetoric and repeat the nonsense. Asserting the notion that unionized workers "make too much" and corporations need to have their regulatory burden reduced so they can have more jobs for the people. This is all nonsense of course.
The real assertion should be that unionized workers make more because they collectively bargain, why should not all workers be MAKING MORE MONEY and have better benefits? The notion should not be to knock down our neighbors but to bring ourselves and others up to that same level and higher.
The notion of scaling back the power of various national governments is also flawed. National governments are the last bulwark against complete capitulation to the feudalist corporate overlords. BUT, national governments have also largely been infiltrated by the feudalist corporations so that they work to serve that agenda. Is this a catch 22? It could be if one does not focus on what really has to be done.
If one really wants to do something about the state of affairs one needs to first remove the feudalistic corporate influence from the national governments and make them into governments that serve the interests of the people and not the globalist corporate oligarchs.

The question you should ask yourself is; do I want to be a serf working on the local corporate plantation?

Worldwide Deadly Gangster Computer God (revised)

Some of my fans may already be familiar with Francis E. Dec Esq. If not, peruse the link to familiarize yourself with the material that he produced. It is interesting to note that considered opinion has it that Dec suffered from Schizophrenia. And it has been further refined to be similar to that which James Tilly Matthews suffered from with his persecution via the "Air Loom Gang". The "Air Loom" was a nefarious device that transmitted influence from a distance. This is long before human technology would allow for a technological means of remote influence, at least in any history to which we have access.

Dec had a nemesis as well which was a machine he designated the "Gangster Computer God", hereafter (GCG). Created, said Dec, by his own ancestors in the distant past as an aid for the advance of the people and to make life easier. The GCG went bad at some point and then used it's powers to oppose Dec's ancestors and generally degrade them as a race or culture. Dec's GCG had eventually taken over most of the functions of authority through willing accomplices and mind controlled dupes that had been fitted with "Frankenstein Controls" allowing the GCG to remotely control them via some technological means that involved the moon. While Dec does not in any works that we currently have access to say exactly where the GCG is located he does talk about man made satellites that affect the Earth's atmosphere and of course there is a connection with the moon, which does, obviously, orbit the Earth. Dec doesn't specifically say that the moon is artificial but he does talk about "man-made inside out planets", presumably he thought of the moon in the same way. Much of what Dec talks about in this vein is very racist and anti-Semitic.
In the last decades of the 20th century there were many people talking about artificially intelligent machines that impacted humanity in one way or the other.
We can look at Andrija Puharich and Uri Geller the psychokinetic ESPer that he discovered in Israel in the early 70's.

Under hypnosis, by Puharich, Geller revealed the source of his psychokinetic power as an orbiting intelligence that he called SPECTRA. It should be noted that Puharich had been involved with the Council of Nine which were channeled entities that later came to be associated with SPECTRA. There may be more on this later.
It was not long (1974) before Phillip K. Dick had the experience which eventually resulted in the seminal work: VALIS which is an acronym for Vast Active Living Intelligent System. Which manifested itself as an orbiting intelligence in space.

It is my proposition that some schizophrenics, as well as people who are in altered states of consciousness can see the reality of the world we live in. In other words I believe that Francis Dec, Uri Geller, and Phillip K. Dick all saw or experienced something that is very real. Of course the nuances of the situation are changed in each of these cases.
In a previous blog post I have outlined some of the thoughts of Dr. Richard Sauder in an interview that I had with him:

Sauder tells us the same thing. There is an artificially intelligent machine entity (possibly in orbit around the Earth) that seeks to disrupt human civilization and ultimately to destroy humanity.
This is a meme that is very strong and very real, in my view.

Now we come back to the "Council of Nine". Christopher Knowles, author of the Secret Sun Blog and of the Facebook group has himself delved into the "Council of Nine" and the connection with Gene Roddenberry the creator of "Star Trek". Some members of the group on Facebook have also contributed to
fleshing out that connection and it's importance. Also in the talk that I had with Christopher Knowles on my radio show we touched upon this subject and the psyop of Project Blue Beam.

So who were the Nine? They claimed to be the Ennead of Ancient Egypt, the nine primary gods of Egypt, and that they were coming back.
But what were they really? Andrija Puharich was in military intelligence and was involved in the MKULTRA mind control experiments of the CIA during the 50's and 60's. The connections that can be made are legion. Was this a psyop being carried out for some nefarious purpose?
The Council of Nine has connections to just about everything of import. Ruth Paine, the lady that assisted Lee Harvey Oswald in getting his job at the School Book Depository, had a connection to "The Nine". It has been noted by researcher Kenn Thomas that in testimony before the Warren Commission Ruth was asked of her actions prior to the assassination and would have revealed in the commissions findings that she had made a trip to Philadelphia to visit Arthur Young who was the central figure in the activities of the "Council of Nine".

That admission into the record was derailed when Allen Welsh Dulles interrupted Ruth before she could state her visit to Young. Dulles was no friend of Kennedy and he also may have had connections to "The Nine" through his mistress who was a friend of Michael Paine's mother. Fleshing out that connection would also tie in Bell Helicopter and the Military Industrial Complex as well as the assassination of John F. Kennedy.

One could argue that if we are dealing with outside forces here we could be dealing with the Archons of the Gnostics.
Or we could be dealing with a military/intelligence psyop. Or some combination of the two.
As I discussed with John Lamb Lash on my radio show which is airing for the first time right now as I write these words there is another force at work in our world and in the space around us. The Archons are real, in my view, and they are bent on interfering in the activity of man. The military involvement with the paranormal and the idea that "the government" has secret technology from "aliens" may not be wrong in the grand scheme of things, just that we are not talking about corporeal entities from other planets flying spaceships.
The involvement of Puharich and the Military Industrial Complex in the areas of the paranormal might indicate that there is actual interaction between the Archons and some people. The Archons as told by the Gnostics were inorganic beings and as such would be masters of the manipulation of matter and energy because that was their domain. It is not hard to imagine that they may have been able to give ideas that led to development of some technology.
What is perhaps the most chilling aspect of this is that the Archons are insane according to our own reasoning minds. Anything that they "give" us will not ultimately for the best interests of man.
There would, necessarily, be a lot of disinformation and misinformation surrounding this reality if it is in fact true.
There is more, of course, to this story. Andrija Puharich was involved with Ira Einhorn, who is currently serving a life sentence for the murder of his girlfriend
Holly Maddox:

As my friend Andy Colvin has discovered in his voluminous research the name Maddox shows up time and time again in relation to the paranormal, and conspiracies in general.
Einhorn was suspected by some of setting the fire that burned down the Ossining NY home of Puharich which was also the place where Puharich had his "space kids" program. He referred to them as "Gellerlings". Where the children were "taught" how to develop their psychic abilities.
Ossining NY, is right across the water from Long Island. Long Island was the home of Francis Dec and also of the infamous Montauk Project. This leads back to the Philadelphia experiment and connects to mind control research. Puharich was also connected to Camp Detrick the home of chemical and biological warfare for the US and the place where Frank Olson worked (who did not get along well with Puharich) all of which is outlined in Hank Albarelli's book "A Terrible Mistake" which thoroughly lays out the death of Frank Olson.

This is all a lot to take in but there is still more. Part of Dec's pathology was to constantly rail against the corruption of the courts and the government in general, especially in New York. He had a rather short career as an attorney before having his license taken from him when he was convicted of fraud. Of course Dec claimed it was all a massive conspiracy against him. With hindsight one may be excused if one were to think that considering the level of corruption that was prevalent at the time and even to today maybe he was right.
Some interesting connections can be found in Long Island territory that connects all of this mass of craziness to serial and mass killers as well. The "manufacture" of serial killers has been researched by Dave McGowan in his work "Programmed to Kill", as have others.
Long Island had recently come into the news for bodies found near Gilgo Beach which have been speculated to be the work of a serial killer(s). For more on this see here. There is also a rather infamous case involving Colin Ferguson a man convicted of killing six people on the Long Island Rail Road. The story is most bizarre because of the trial in which Ferguson defending himself referred to himself in the third person in questioning witnesses.

And the idea of programmed killers should not exclude Charles Manson and "The Family" and also Sirhan Sirhan the convicted assassin of Robert F. Kennedy. Can killers be programmed by the inorganic intelligences of the Archons? Can they be "infected" by a "virus" of insanity that is the purview of these beings. Could technology that "the government" possesses from the "aliens" also allow for the mental control or derangement of people that would result in government made serial killers?

Of course there is no way to know if the speculations in this piece are "real" or "true". And I would not hesitate to add that the intervention by nefarious beings from "outside" is not necessary where human ingenuity is concerned and the mind control technologies as well as other technologies associated in this post with the "outside" intelligences could all be the result of human deviousness.
I postulate that the Archons have directly affected humanity in the past and therefore there is no reason to suppose that they would not do so now and into the future. I see their hand in all of this.

My Friend and fellow researcher Andy Colvin has indicated that the real way to reach the root of the paranormal phenomena and the manifestations of nefarious influences from "outside" is to focus our energy on the real people, corporations and governments that are involved and I agree. If an Archon does not want to be seen or discovered it will not be but we can follow the work and career of Puharich and the channeled material of Dr. Vinod/"The Nine". We can look at the corporations that have developed the types of technology that could be developed from such paranormal beings or investigations. We can track the government programs that put out new and different technology that might have an unusual provenance. Tracking the real world movements would be the best way to get any kind of answers on this matter. But that is not to say that we ignore the other stuff either.
Figuring out the biggest mysteries may be, to borrow a phrase from Dec, our only hope for a future.

Progress: A commentary on the technological view

I am inspired to do this post by Christopher Knowles and his blog post on progress as myth, reality, and as a subverted ideal.

America serves as the cauldron in which all of the many forms of "progress" that Chris has outlined in his blog post linked above. Here is one example of "American Progress" as seen in more genteel times...

Notice that even in this painting we have some very disturbing images of "progress". The Native Americans are pushed out, so robbing the natives of their land is "progress". The march of technology and the means to mold and shape the Earth are seen as "progress". There is much more, and this in a supposed gentler time.

Today progress is often seen in the light of technological advance and that will be the focus of this post. Chris has touched upon the idea of transhumanism and the notion that humanity will one day move beyond human. It seems like an oxymoron to me. Is this what awaits people in the future?

Progress has been more and more seen within the idea of scientific progress and technological advance. The end result is that humanity moves more and more away from being human. Computers allow us to communicate, as alternate identities, with others, that are doing the same and we have no need to get out of bed to do so, let alone leave the house.
The idea of technological advance tends to isolate people and simulate reality. TV's move from standard to digital to High Definition to 3D. Communication means that people need not interact on a personal, face to face, way.
This is the reality of the future to many...

From the movie "Surrogates" which allow you to "inhabit" a machine that will go about the business of your normal life while you lay in a recliner hooked up to machines.
In recent months I have come across the work of John Lamb Lash. He is the author of the book "Not in His Image" and has a website worthy of a look here.

John's work presents a radical view of Gnosticism and their teachings. His work has illustrated to me that progress for humanity is void if we do not progress along with our world, our bodies, our minds, and our "spirit". Progress should be holistic.

The march of progress toward a technological singularity has been commented upon by many. One may ask what appeal there may be to transhumanism and the technological replacement of our bodies/minds and the acceptance of simulated reality over the real thing. To be sure there are some things that appeal like extended "life", freedom from disease, etc. But the unreality of the result is so far removed from what is natural that it is still hard to imagine why people would become cyborgs, willingly.
One result of the transhumanist agenda is that diseases are not cured, just managed (and even that is questionable) by medication. Why waste time curing the body if we will one day embody a robot? Of course there is also a monetary and power angle to this as well while we occupy this time of economic rape and pillage.
There is also the willingness by many to utilize the resources of the Earth without limit or regard. Witness the lunacy of the current candidates for the office of President.

She wants to do away with the EPA. Corporations, of course, would NEVER just dump toxic waste and poison us and the environment, so why worry...

Oh I forgot about Love Canal. And others...

We should not go the radical Earth First agenda but need to be mindful that the Earth provides for us and should be protected to some extent from the ravages that man can visit upon it.

John Lamb Lash in his work has an explanation for this apparent desire by many to accept a simulated reality and the transhuman agenda of a cyborg future where technology is king. That explanation involves the Gnostic Archons.
In his view the Archons are inorganic beings that cannot exist in our organic biological environment, except for short periods.

Which does have a relation to the so-called "Grey Aliens" and the "alien agenda" which seems to serve no purpose and has no rational solution.
The Archons do not operate in the same way that we do, they do not have the same thought process and as such they cannot be understood fully by our reasoning. The Gnostics, according to Lash, warned quite explicitly of this during their time. This is why they called the Demiurge insane.
I have went a little ways here but a proper background is necessary for you to fully grasp the idea and appeal of this "march of progress" and salvation by technology.
The Archons are masters of simulation and being inorganic they are something like a machine intelligence, an AI if you will. Technology has offered a doorway to this influence that has never before been seen. The Archons seek to corrupt humanity and the link between humanity and our own home, Earth. Technology and transhumanism offers them a robust way of doing this.
I have had several conversations with people on my radio show which talk about the influence upon the Earth and humanity of a machine like intelligence, but the most explicit was with Richard Sauder...

I don't want to attempt to summarize the work of Lash any further but will encourage you to read his book and check out his website for further information.
What he does present is a reasonable solution to the lunacy we see in our world today, the drive for technological "transcendence" and the capitulation to corporate domination.

Pedophilia: A secret terror rears it's head in Penn State (UPDATED)

Let us be very clear here. My thoughts on pedophiles is that they are incurable and have a compulsion to do what they do. And if there is a question as to something happening between a person and a child I will always be inclined to believe the child because to NOT do so is to utterly fail to protect the innocence of youth.
I would like to apologize for being absent for some time here. Like all of you I have a lot of things to do and there are only so many hours in the day. I hope to be more regular with the blog in the future and thank you all for checking in from time to time.

State College Pennsylvania. Located in a place referred to as "happy valley" and by others as "creepy valley". Both of these names have a certain resonance, the same resonance. The happiness is Stepford Wives-like. In light of the predatory pedophilia accusations against Jerry Sandusky and the subsequent actions of the Board of Trustees in firing "legendary" coach Joe Paterno and the university president for failing to lead and take responsibility for what was happening under their watch the campus erupted into chaos and violence as students rioted in support of "JoPa". "Forgive them Father they know not what they do."

Can it be that the youth of the school are so brain dead to the idea of defending a doddering old fool who whiffed on his responsibility and then whiffed on stepping up and taking responsibility by not resigning as soon as this story broke? Can they merely be thinking of football for God's sake? I'm afraid so.
And we still have the EYEWITNESS of a CHILD RAPE who when faced with the spectacle of what he saw...called his dad for advice, still on the job. Mike McQueary, saw a child rape in a shower at Penn State and called his dad for advice on what to do. He didn't go into the shower and beat the living hell out of the perpetrator, he didn't try to stop it, and he didn't even call the police. He called his dad and his dad told him to tell Joe Paterno, not to call the police or go back and break the arms of the predator.
Let us look at this whole spectacle.

Penn State has some connection to the Military Industrial Complex as here. And Penn State has a connection to the rather infamous MKULTRA mind control program of the CIA as revealed here under sub-project 118. One need look no further than the horrid unsolved rape murder of Jonbenet Ramsey and her father's connection to the defense industry to see that this issue is relevant.

Jonbenet Ramsey's father headed a firm called Access Graphics which had ties to the defense department. For the absolutely best article written on the case please see here and chapter 7 here.

On the surface the area would seem to be rather mundane but it might be important to note that this area is listed as one of the least stressful areas in the Wiki article here. That is the source of the term "happy valley" apparently.

But it is also a relatively isolated and insular community as well and I have personal knowledge of a very creepy "vibe" being present there. One may indeed wonder if the "happy valley" idea is one that is imposed by some type of mind control of the MKULTRA program...but that would be crazy wouldn't it?

It should also be noted that the issue of molestation and pedophilia has been around at least since 1998, with the same alleged perpetrator one Jerry Sandusky. The DA in charge of that case was Ray Gricar. Who has since disappeared and been declared legally dead. The case of his disappearance is rather curious since he did internet searches on how to destroy data on a hard drive and how to damage a laptop computer with water. His laptop was found in a river with the hard drive removed. The hard drive was found a bit later, close by, in the water and no information was able to be obtained from it.

What happened to Ray Gricar?

The activities uncovered at Penn State are just indicative of a wider and more terrible reality of widespread secret pedophilia activities going on around the country and around the world. This is one issue that is ignored as much as possible and downplayed to a great degree.

We should perhaps keep in mind that the allegations against Sandusky are allegations and there is a presumption of innocence, at least for public consumption.

This story also reminds me of the McMartin Preschool case read the "official" version here. One of the salient points in the allegations of the students was that they had traversed tunnels under the school. That seemingly absurd claim was used to push the idea of a hoax. But there is evidence of a tunnel and underground room as you can read here.

It should be noted that in light of McMartin and the final assumption that it was a hoax resulted in the rise of the False Memory Syndrome Foundation, which believes that it is easy to make people think that something happened even when it didn't. Their website is here. It should be noted that the FMSF was founded by people originally accused of child sexual abuse. False Memory Syndrome is a fringe theory at best. The Foundation itself is rumored to be a CIA front or otherwise used by or connected to the intelligence community. That is enough to call the whole idea of "hoax" a questionable conclusion. My own no-holds-barred take on the issue can be seen in this video.

Not for the feint of heart.

The final conclusion according to me is that this issue is routinely covered up in schools and other places like churches all the time. It is a bigger and more insidious problem than anyone is willing to consider. It is a scourge and an incredible tragedy and I can only hope that people will stop to think about that. Most especially the stupid people that will riot in support of someone who failed to do all that was MORALLY required to protect the innocence of children that was being taken under his watch.

Where are the people who support the children?

I am forced to add some additional material that is just as disturbing if not more so than that which has already been discussed. Jerry was affiliated with a youth advocacy group called "The Second Mile", their website is here. Apparently the foundation was used as a means for the "alleged" pedophile perpetrator to have access to kids for him to target and to abuse. Another rumor circulating has it that Jerry was pimping the children out to wealthy donors.

This now has a great deal in common with the Franklin child sexual abuse allegations. Another supposed hoax.

This case involved a notorious character who at the time was a prominent member of the Republican party and also ran the Franklin Credit Union. This case involved child sexual abuse, pimping of children, interstate transport of children for sexual activity and Boy's Town a charity much like "The Second Mile".

Larry King, served time for financial crimes in connection with the Franklin Credit Union but never faced any charges about child sex abuse that were alleged by several young people.

And what do you know? There is also an investigator that died under mysterious circumstances, one Gary Caradori.

Shades of the missing, presumed dead, DA Gricar noted earlier.

This is a nationwide immensely sick problem that has tentacles into schools, charities, and countless other institutions including law enforcement and the government.

Will we see the same thing in this current case? We already have the seeds of a long cover up. For those who might be inclined to stick up for Joe Paterno please read the indictment which has McQueary telling Paterno IN DETAIL of what he observed. McQueary needs to go immediately and should take the opportunity to resign for his failure to take all the action he should have. Now is Paterno lying or is he a doddering old fool who can't remember that one of HIS BEST FRIENDS WAS WITNESSED RAPING A CHILD? Either way he needed to go.

Some commentary on the Mothman Festival

I had made plans to attend the festival this year, come hell or high water. Well it worked out well for me. Andy Colvin (author and blogger/researcher whom I have interviewed here, here, and here) had arranged to stay with a friend of his in Point Pleasant and was kind enough to include me in his plans. The Mothman Festival happens every year and this year was the 10th.
I had an interview with the organizer Jeff Wamsley and had the opportunity to meet him even though he was running around nonstop the whole time trying to keep things moving smoothly.
I met some very incredible people and was pleasantly surprised to find a receptive audience to some of the more Earthly explanations for things like UFOs. Though there was some of the new agey ideas as well. It was a treat to meet Rosemary Ellen Guiley who is a sincere investigator and has a lot of credibility in the field. She gave a talk on the Djinn.
Andy's talk focused on the probable human origin for much of the UFO phenomena as well as conspiratorial aspects of the research.

There were vendors in a little bazaar area and of course many great and interesting things to buy. It is a good thing I think that people have a real interest in the byways like the paranormal and UFOlogy.

I had several highlights on the trip. One of course was a visit to the notorious "TNT" area where Mothman first appeared.

Noxious looking water in the "TNT" area. This area was used for munitions storage in what are called "igloos" which are concrete bunkers. We visited the so-called "haunted igloo" purported to have been lived in by a homeless man that had killed some people at one time.

There's Andy at the entrance to the haunted igloo. Inside looks exactly like an igloo with sloping walls in a half sphere shape.

There's a hole in the roof at the apex presumably for ventilation and to allow for gas escape in the event of an explosion or fire inside. One of these bunkers exploded a while back and closed off the area for a time. Some of this land is still in use for "reclamation" and storage of chemicals and presumably explosives.

In our explorations in the area Andy led the way to the Defense Logistics Plant in Point Pleasant which is closing and recently had an auction for some of it's surplus material.

Andy has put together a rather complex web of corporate/intelligence/military money and people that surrounds the whole Mothman phenomenon and UFOlogy.
Working on a hunch Andy led us to an abandoned plant or factory of some kind which was completely gutted with random holes in the walls but was completely accessible with no fences or even signs to keep people out. There was what appeared to be an oven or furnace inside which had what looked like asbestos just hanging out of the area around it.
A couple of strange things were observed inside.

I captured a lot of "orbs" in this photo, which was not reproduced in a subsequent photo of the same room which was the only one I photographed twice.

BEFORE we went into the building Andy predicted that orbs would be seen. I have never had orbs on any of my photos before that I am aware of.

After the event I attended a picnic with Andy at the home of one of his relatives. We road a quad and took a roll on a steep hill, shot my .45 pistol, visited a private graveyard on the top of a mound like hill and had some great food with some fine folk.

The end is nigh...or maybe not

It is quite easy to draw conclusions and to predict events that support various theories that one might have regarding the state of affairs in the world. I do it myself so I should know.
We've been living in a time of upheaval and momentous change and this fact alone serves to fuel the desire to "put things in context" and this usually leads to making pronouncements of doom.

Optimism and pessimism are dead. It's time for realism. What do we make of the signs and portents in the wake of realism? One could make the claim that we are living in the last days of your religion of choice. In reality what we are seeing today largely has occurred many times in the past. We have a short memory indeed.

Looking at the violent riots occurring around the world one might think that this is really IT.

But we have seen this all before:

I could go on and on. There is a strong undercurrent in the world today of a fervent desire to change things for the better and we have been let down time and time again in hopes of making the world a better place for all of us.

We have also had a belly full of economic problems but history is filled with such things. The point is that there is nothing about today to mark it as special or any reason to think that we will see an end to the continued march of the human race into the future.
The only thing that we can really say is that we have seen the trends of history and they have indicated to us that where we might be headed as a people may not be such a nice place to live in.

We have always been at war with (insert name of country or countries here).

So what can be gleaned from the tea leaves of today? Since we have been here before?
I think that like all times that we have seen momentous change as a possibility we have a choice. We can try to achieve that change and carry it through to make something better for all of us. We can try. We may fail as we have many times before, but we may succeed.
It's time to grasp the bull by the horns and seize the day.
Do we have the ability to do what our forebears did and TRY?
Apathy is deadly.

Saturn devours it's children

How does one go about making a statement that has meaning or substance when one is observing the phenomena of the breakdown of Western civilization? What we have happening in society around the world is a total breakdown.
There is a conspiratorial nature to history that would have it that all of the various things that are going on are the result of cabals acting behind the scenes. I agree with the conspiratorial nature of history.

Franklin D. Roosevelt: "In politics, nothing happens by accident. If it happens, you can bet it was planned that way."

Benjamin Disraeli: "The governments of the present day have to deal not merely with other governments, with emperors, kings and ministers, but also with the secret societies which have everywhere their unscrupulous agents, and can at the last moment upset all the governments' plans."

It seems to me the closer we look at the current breakdown of Western civilization we see that the nature of it is outside the control of even the most powerful secret societies.

Some of these groups are very powerful but I think they are limited in their ability to act in such a way that can explain the complete collapse of the world economy which seems to be on the brink of occurring.

To add to this mix we have all kinds of apocalyptic scenarios peppering us. There is a mythology surrounding the comet "Elenin". A photo circulating around the Internet is being used to support the idea of spacecraft following the comet in a replay of "Heaven's Gate".

The Sun too is acting up. We are supposed to be going through a Solar maximum and the Sun has not been cooperating. Astronomers take note of the fact that when we have a delay in Solar cycles the Sun has a way of catching up by becoming suddenly more active. We are starting to see this now.

The weather and actions of the Earth are both also seemingly out of whack too. The Fukushima disaster stems from an earthquake and tsunami.

We have had a series of devastating tornadoes in the USA as well as massive ongoing flooding. Joplin was almost completely destroyed.

We are seeing a rock rolling downhill and like physics it is gathering steam and getting faster and faster. This brings in mind the idea of the ages that man and civilization goes through in time and this brings me to the title of this post. According to various traditions man is now in the Iron Age and that is soon to collapse bringing on a period of chaos that will ultimately lead to a new Golden Age. The king of the Golden Age is Saturn. I was privileged to talk with Jay Weidner and we touched upon some of this in relation to time.

I also talked with Tracy R. Twyman who had a lot to say on the idea of Saturn and the ages of man.

In looking at this I have come to a conclusion. That is we have had numerous conspiracies in history and that are going on today which have attempted and are attempting to shape the future of this world and of humanity in general. But these competing interests have precipitated a kind of collapse that is now out of their power to control.
And this can be seen by the nature of politics today and the surrealistic nature of what is being proposed. It is almost as if the veil of reality has been lifted to show us what is REALLY real.
What can be done? Do we stand a chance of getting through this mess and achieving a future? I have no answers but if we are going through ages and are approaching the new Golden Age we need to prepare for a period of chaos and change unlike any we have seen before. And there are a lot of things that we can do to be prepared for that coming period.
Of course this is all speculation. There is the meme of doomsday and 2012 as well which I put no stock in whatsoever but the timing of a lot we are seeing leads me to believe that plans had been laid to take advantage of that meme in order for certain elite factions to enact plans of global control and enslavement. The good thing that we can take from the rock rolling relentlessly downhill is that it will flatten these elitist plans along with everything else. In other words we have a "golden" opportunity to start over and it is only something that will be limited by the ability of people to imagine and implement that which is good and sustainable for the future of us and our world.

Independence Day

It's July 4th, Independence Day in the good old US of A. It is a terrible tragedy that there are many people who do not know the history of our country at all. There is unfortunately an ever more terrible tragedy in that there are a lot of people that THINK they know the history of this country.
Before you go out and watch the fireworks perhaps you should take a moment to consider the history of this nation and the nature of the founding and the founding fathers of this "republic".
First there is the Declaration of Independence. Basically it is an indictment of King George III and his failure to address the grievances of the people who wrote and signed the document. This purported to represent the will of the people. They had no authority to do this. In any event this nation purports to be a nation that allows it's people a redress of it's grievances but in fact it does not allow for this at all. In the Medicare slashing of Paul Ryan we have seen a total disregard for the constituency as here:

One could easily write up a list of grievances very similar to that which is in the Declaration, but against our supposed great government of, by and for the people.

The constitution is meaningless as a document because the government, supposedly constrained by it, routinely ignores it and have done so since this country was supposedly founded. Today we have a manifest disregard for the 4th Amendment with the TSA searching people with no probable cause as here:

The fact of the matter is that the "founding fathers" were rich white men that owned land. There was a strong impulse for rich landowners to protect their interests but to do so with some cover. The "we the people" and reference to "us" and "our" are only for the rich and powerful but because they also have another meaning people think those provisions apply to them. They do not and never did.

The Whiskey Rebellion was a perfect and early example of the ignorance of grievances by the government just barely born.

Hey how about this. I am a colony of a hated tyrannical King. I declare independence from that kingdom. So in setting up my country I want to have a distinctive flag to show my new status. I am not going to use any of the devices of the hated tyrannical kingdom I just fought with for independence? Right?

Surrealism in the world; do you sense some imminent "event"?

It has really become apparent to me that there is a certain level of surrealism in the world that, at first, I attributed to some more mundane activities by people for rather mundane and all too human feelings and motives. I am now starting to wonder if that is all there is to it. I am betting that anyone that is reading this is feeling something similar to what I am feeling. Here is my video that I just did on this topic last night:

This is not a "psychic" or "predictive prophecy" of any kind. It is more along the lines of "normal" human intuition and "reading" the signs and symbols around us.
This surrealism is most apparent to me in politics and economics and that is where the idea first started to trickle into my consciousness. I have looked at the Republican candidates for office and have just shaken my head at the ludicrous nature of them and their policies and platforms. You only have to look at the news to see the cartoonish aspects of the campaign.
There also was the idea of President Obama and his lack of a past and his overt attempts to obfuscate about it. He also has gone to great lengths to betray all of the things that he supposedly stood for in running for office. Something I picked up on really early on.

That video was done in February of 2008.

Then we had the release of Obama's birth certificate, the legendary "long form" that he fought to keep out of public consciousness.

This was apparently as a result of supposed candidate for office Donald Trump and his constant media attention to the matter. It is my belief that Trump was actually working FOR Obama in some capacity, whether wittingly or not.
We quickly had a thorough debunking of the document as an obvious fake and fraud. The surrealism is that people just accept it and the media has absolutely nothing to say on the matter.
Then we had very shortly after this the supposed killing of Osama Bin Laden at the direction of President Obama. Something that I also had intuited when I made a video saying that the release of the certificate was a "signal" for something major to come.

The fake death of Osama Bin Laden was only part of the major event to come and that is what I have been feeling. There is much more to this than simply politics or economics. It may be an Earth wide sort of thing or even bigger than that.
Do you feel this?
Of course my view had been tempered by the fact that I tend to focus on the political and economic world because that is what I do with my videos on youtube. But we have also seen some amazing things happening in other areas as well. We have had tremendous solar flares disrupting the Earth's magnetic sphere from a largely dormant Sun that may becoming more active, or maybe not.

I say that the Sun may not act up much because of recent scientific claims. And also speculation of a new Ice Age. Because of a phenomenon similar to that experienced during the Maunder Minimum. We have seen devastating tornadoes and Earthquakes. We have also seen a nuclear disaster slowly turning into an apocalyptic scenario in Fukushima,

which may just be the beginning as there is evidence of problems at other plants, here, and here and here.
The Earthquake in Japan had some anomalous heating of the atmosphere that some have equated with the use of HAARP. I do not believe this explanation since there have been reports of unusual weather patterns associated with Earthquakes before HAARP.
It is a conglomeration of events, most of which I have commented upon individually before. Some others of note include the "killing" of Bin Laden on Beltane, which I covered in the following video:

"DUNE"; retrograde apotheosis; rise and fall of the machines; plans within plans

Frank Herbert's "DUNE" is a film that has so many themes that it is difficult to give it a full rendition as to the various ideas presented in the first theatrical version. Frank Herbert himself is a character that reminds me a bit of L. Ron Hubbard the creator of Scientology. He has an eclectic background and his writing reflects this to a great degree. One cannot ignore the very Scientology-like things that are very apparent in the movie (one that comes to mind is the "testing" of Paul Atreides by the Reverend Mother, but there are more).
There is a basic storyline on the surface of the film that is very relevant to us today and the symbolism is revealing. The movie takes place in the distant future where humanity has spread throughout the galaxy and there is a galactic empire. There is an intricate system of feudalism with noble families, but we also have a corporate structure as well that is essential to the story. There are also a myriad of secret societies that play important roles in the story. It is of course also about the apotheosis of Paul Atreides who is the very un-Christ like messiah figure.

Kyle MacLachlan is an interesting choice for this role considering some of the strange roles that he has had, especially in Twin Peaks, and The Hidden.

There are dichotomies in the story that relate to much other science fiction. There are no "thinking machines", that is artificially intelligent computers, as they had been banned centuries before and destroyed in the Butlerian Jihad. This is interesting in comparison to the ideas expressed in other films that have the machines destroying humanity or waging an apparently endless war ("The Terminator" and "The Matrix" come to mind). There is a total outlawing of any kind of machine "made in the image of a human mind" and the penalty for creating or using such was death.

There is no lack of technology for all of this. It is of a different kind and centered on the development of human potential and on organic technology. Drugs are an integral part of the story, the Mentats use the "Juice of Sapho" to quicken their thoughts, giving them a stain around their mouths.

The Mentats are meant to take over the actions of computers because they are trained to think in strictly computer like ways, analytically and capable of amassing huge amounts of data and collating it just like computers.
The elite all use "Melange", the spice that is created by the biological action of the sandworms of Dune or Arakis.
Reverand Mothers in the "Bene Gesserit" school ( a religious order that fulfills many different functions in the empire) use several different drugs and poisons in their rituals.
The "Guild Navigator" uses the spice for seeing accurately through space time to enable the folding of space to allow for near instantaneous transport of heighliners between distant planets, it also mutates them over time. David Lynch chose to have the navigators actually do the folding of space in the movie even though in the book they are only able to see the correct safe passage that the heighliner will take to travel safely. This is an interesting departure because it makes the navigators much more powerful because they can literally go anywhere nearly instantly.

There are plenty of themes to explore in the movie. One thing I want to point out before we go on is what is conspicuously ABSENT from the film. Can you guess or do you know? What's missing? ALIENS! The whole galaxy in this mythology is peopled by humans, there is no other intelligent life, just humans.

It should be noted that even in the books there is no other intelligent life in the galaxy besides humanity.

Believe it or not this actually plays into the idea of a hidden "other" on Earth as has been the subject of discussion on this blog as well as some other less "reputable" ones. ;)
It would take a month to properly lay out all of the back story to show the symbolism here.

A scientific genius, who becomes part man, part machine discovers the secret to interstellar travel and communication over a long lifetime. Part of this technology is the idea of a null point. These can be used to create pocket dimensions. That is a very real blueprint for the alien as Earth inhabitant, AND dimensional entity. Humans are the same everywhere in the Dune Universe but you would not know it to look at them since the variance is quite broad ON THE SURFACE. Genetically they are all human. This is key in considering the idea of other beings existing with us that equate with the gods of old. Sometimes these gods have been depicted as having certain animal characteristics but a lot of the time they are shown wearing things that made them look animal like.

And then you have the Guild Navigators that are described in the books as vaguely aquatic looking. And depicted this way in the "Children of Dune" miniseries:

They even have a little bit of the "grey alien" in them eh? David Lynch chose to depict the Navigators as shown further above. That change takes away from my thesis a little, but he had a different vision of these beings than Herbert did.

There is a messianic story here as well with Paul Atreides' ascension to near godlike status. His apotheosis is a retrograde one. The breeding program that produces him is clearly designed to produce a human that is in command of the forces that man had in the ancient past. The perfect man that existed in the "Golden Age", or Eden, or take your pick of any of countless myths of mans origins.

Artificially intelligent/computer technology is shunned (though this envelope is pushed even after the ban) and organic evolution is pursued through control of the body right down to the cellular and genetic level.
Various societies exist in a dynamic tension of control. Most of the major organizations are highly secretive and masonic or church like though there is no overt subject of worship except amongst the Fremen, which clearly are derivative of Middle Eastern racial groups and religious philosophies such as Islam, Zoroastrianism, Sufism, etc. The empire is highly structured and religious but there is an absence of a god or gods, except, perhaps, amongst the Fremen.

There is a fanatical devotion to Paul Atreides by his Fremen warriors, and interestingly enough Paul's secret name is Usul, which in their language meant "base of the pillar", shades of "Foundation" and "Al-Qaeda".
Just a little aside in the story. After 9/11 there was almost immediately a conspiracy theory that purported that Al-Qaeda derived it's name from the Foundation series of books by Asimov. But it seems to me that one could argue that it could just as easily, and perhaps even more so, have been a reference to this movie. Let us not forget the cogent point that the movie came out in 1984, shades of Orwell/Blair here and the ushering in of Big Brother via the police state actions following the activity of the "foundation" or "base" and the attack on 9/11. Food for synchonistic thought.
There is a certain prescience here since the Fremen come to terrorize the forces of the empire in much the same way we are led to believe that Al-Qaeda does to the US ~~empire~~ republic.

This movie can be seen as a model for the elite plans for world domination as well as the secret societies plans for the fulfillment of their goals of "perfected man". The various ways that is done are by the various routes one can take and what "brotherhood" to which you belong.

There is even a monopoly that runs all commerce, or seems to. That is CHOAM. The galactic Wal-Mart.

Now let us tie it all together shall we. Ancient man and his interaction with the gods that live among us showed how through the superior genetics of hybrid offspring one could achieve the greatness of demigods and heroes. Analogous to the highly evolved people of the Dune movie, the Reverend Mother, Paul, Jessica, Guild Navigators, etc.

Ultimately the gods left or went into hiding leaving us on our own to develop or atrophy on the vine. To preserve the knowledge of the ancients and the magic of the gods there were formed secret societies and mystery religions.

Analogous to the Spacing Guild, the Bene Gesserit, etc.

This knowledge is used by some to try and control the population and push us into a direction they want us to go and this is precisely what we see in this movie.
International banking and commerce are part of the equation of control as depicted in the movie by CHOAM.

Through the "weirding way" and the evolution that the spice enhances along with exotic technology and drugs and a millenias long eugenics program the end result is the reverse apotheosis of the "super being" back to the genetic pureness of the "golden age". This is the goal of the secret societies and the mystery religions.

The David Lynch movie is one of those movies that really resonated with me and it was probably the most highly symbolic of movies to me and was only replaced when "The Matrix" came out. The SciFi miniseries was also good but the movie was it for me.

I might pick this movie up again in the future for more discussion.

Secret History of Rock and Roll; a book review

I must admit that I am not a huge fan of music, and never have been, even as a child I preferred reading to anything else when it came to entertainment. When reading the book I was surprised by how much nostalgia it generated in me. Because, despite the fact that I was and am primarily a book worm and still have little interest in music I remembered with fondness a lot of the bands and songs discussed in the book by way of examples of musical genres.

I have written another book review on "Our Gods Wear Spandex" also by Christopher Knowles. Reading both books gives a good example of Chris' writing style which is easy flowing and crisp, not a lot of unnecessary diversion. It is only fitting that I should read and review Chris' work here as I also had him as a guest on my Stench of Truth radio show.
A precursor to this work for me was the very interesting work by Alex Constantine titled "The Covert War Against Rock".

The works are not related in content but in theme. Also as prelude it is interesting to delve into the material of Dave McGowan particularly his material on the Laurel Canyon scene and the birth of some of the more famous rock stars, and bands as well as some of the bigger names in Hollywood.

Well, interesting prelude aside let us get to the work in question.
Chris' main focus in his works both "Gods" and "Rock" is the influence of the mystery religions in the development of the modern art expressions in comics and the music scene respectively.
They both stand as unique examples of research into this connection and he makes a strong connection to the mystery schools in both of them.
In "Rock" we have the exposition of the very potent musical rituals surrounding the various mystery schools of ancient times translated into the music scene of today. We find the Korybantes, armed, dancing warriors of Cybele the Earth Goddess. We have the cult of Dionysus famed (or infamous if you prefer) for their excess. And many more examples of genres and themes in the ancient's approach to the Gods and the modern rock equivalents.
This is all underground stuff. The mystery schools were supposedly shunned by the church and attempts were made to suppress them by various groups over time. The reality is that many of these groups were just taken over by the church and their feasts and holy days renamed for saints in the church and much of the practice simply renamed and brought under the auspices of the church. Stamping out heresy is not always successful and in those cases the wholesale taking and renaming of such ideas is a classic and effective way of taming them and bringing them in line with orthodoxy.
In "Rock" Knowles gives us concrete examples of the various mystery schools as personified in the modern rock environment by individuals and groups. The purpose, as in "Gods", is to show that the power and reality of these mythological constructs is still with us and the unorthodox theology and ritual practices surrounding the worship of the "old gods" is still a real undercurrent in modern artistic expression.
We are left with the real question yet again of what does this mean for us and the for the "reality" of the "old gods"? Since the influence and strength of these themes is so strong as to survive in different ways today it obviously indicates the possibility that we are dealing with a "reality" that is still attempting to impinge on our own and perhaps will one day come out again in the open.
I cannot help but think of H. P. Lovecraft who also posited in his fiction the idea of a race of "old gods" just waiting with slimy tentacles to reemerge from their various prisons to once again take over Earth, which they view as rightfully theirs.
In a sense the gods of the Mystery Schools have a claim for being the rightful rulers of the Earth because the themes and rituals surrounding them have always been with us in one form or another.
Christopher Knowles has once again shown us that we cannot think of ourselves as beyond the influence of these ancient gods and that we may yet again see them seeping out of their current hiding places to come full force into our "reality". I recommend the book as well as "Gods" as a crisp narrative of modern expression of ancient themes. Check out his blog Secret Sun, which is also linked in the fellow travelers section.

The Gods of old and UFOs- The Ultraterrestrial and Extradimensional theory

I am not an artist by any means but the above simple drawing shows my current thoughts on the Extradimensional theory on UFOs and aliens.

It has been pointed out by many that the Gods have been with us always and this precludes, in my opinion, the idea of physical beings from another planet coming here, as there really would have been little to see or observe in the distant past.

Why would physical beings from another planet come here anyway? Why would they care if we blow up the Earth? Why would they care about our "development"? In all of these things the supposed physical aliens theory clearly ascribes God-like intentions and powers to them. The ancients called these beings Gods because they came from elsewhere. But from "where" did they come? In many myths these beings are shown to be largely human-like and often can produce halfling hybrid children. If these were physical beings from another planet it seems highly unlikely that there would be compatibility between their genetics and ours. Perhaps they come from some "place" "closer" to us?

The Ultraterrestrial hypothesis says that these beings are here on Earth and hidden from us normally in some way that we do not understand.

There is an occult history of "secret chiefs" living in forgotten realms. George Gurdjieff is one such source, as is Madame Blavatsky.

I am not opposed to the idea of a hidden race of beings that are compatible with humanity genetically. They could be leftovers from Atlantis or whatever reality spawned the myth. They could also be a relict race from an even earlier age. We all know there are numerous archeological proofs for ancient advanced technologies.

Not to mention the pyramids themselves.

Ancient advanced building techniques.

Ancient science.

Ancient "Gods".

What of the "Gods" of old. Isis, Horus, Osiris, Enki, and all the rest, who were they? Are they based on reality? I think so. All myths have some germ of reality and it seems likely that we are dealing with beings that actually did interact with humans. The idea of genetic compatibility seems to preclude the idea that these beings come from somewhere else, since genetic evolution would hardly be the same from world to world considering differing environmental conditions.

The "Gods" of old that interacted with humanity and seem to have produced offspring would point us definitely to the Ultraterrestrial hypothesis of origin.

Alien intervention, UFOs and occult reality; continued

There are some ground rules that should be set before further discussion has any meaning or will produce meaningful discussion.
I have talked of the occult, UFOs and alien intervention as well as dimensional interaction, and finally synchronicity. Defining the meanings as I represent them will help to understand where I stand on this issue.
First on the Occult. It simply means hidden, unknown. This can simply be something that is kept secret, or the meaning of is lost. There is an implication of the esoteric and I believe that there is that in my view of such things. This will connote the idea of "other realms", magic, sorcery and pacts with the "devil" or the like.

Now it needs to be said that I do not necessarily believe that such things have any objective reality, but they can have subjective reality to the practitioner and to people that have belief structures that can be influenced. In this way one can view this as simply attesting to the fact that such is real enough in the sense that it is used or is SEEMINGLY being used.
I will give you an example of what I mean in the context of the power elite that really run the show on the planet. One which is not monolithic nor without it's own infighting and alternative plans for society etc. There is, at least, the implication in conspiracy theory that elite groups utilize some mechanism of "dark" or evil occult magic and even trafficking with "evil spirits". The elite do nothing but expand upon this concept by having their secretive meetings, societies shrouded in ritual:

The "Skull and Bones".

The O.T.O.

And the Freemasons to name just a few.

There is a major point of contention here at this point because all of this may simply be for show and meant to instill in people the idea that these people are privy to dark knowledge and that it is used to enhance their positions of power because a lot of people approach things from a religious black and white perspective. In other words they concoct this as a front to make them appear to have mystical powers when they don't and in fact reject that any really exist. It is merely a tool of power. It is a way to bamboozle the gullible into ascribing some sinister and powerful force to the elite that make them more formidable than they are in fact.

It doesn't matter for our purposes which is true. It just needs to be acknowledged.

The alien intervention theory has it that some beings interacted with humans in the past and actually provided man, at certain points in time, some necessary advancements.
This phenomena has been with us for a long time.

They are represented in every mythology in one way or another, this includes the major religions that hold that there is interaction between "heaven" and Earth.

That there is a reality here is pretty well established. The real issue is what are these beings and where do they come from? Do they have a relationship with UFOs?

The previously dominant thought in UFOlogy had it that these beings were and are physical aliens from another planet coming here for some reason. I reject this notion for one simple reason there is nothing special about Earth that would make any race travel vast distances to get here and essentially spy on us for unfathomable reasons. That is assuming they have the technology to get here.

There is another theory that the aliens are of an extra-dimensional nature. This seems to be an idea that is gaining a foothold in UFOlogy. Quantum physics, and M theory provide the rationale for such a reality. There is of course the idea that these beings are ultra-terrestrials. That is beings that are indigenous to Earth but through technology or latent abilities can make themselves very hard to detect, unless they choose to interact with us.

The great white brotherhood hiding in Shambhala?

Or underground as in the Shaver stories?

The lengthy span of time that these beings have interacted with humanity can point to either or both of the latter hypotheses. But there is also a possibility that they are the same. Ultra-terrestrials may also be extra-dimensional, by nature, or through some type of technology.

There is a strong association between paranormal phenomena and synchronicity. The working theory that I have for causal and a-causal connections that have meaning, synchronicity, is that one's consciousness takes note of dimensional shifts through some action at a quantum level.

So we have the gods of the ancients either hidden among us, or close by in a pocket dimension that choose to interact with us on their own terms and seemingly have some purpose for us. We may be seen by them as their property as Charles Fort famously observed. These same beings can easily be said to be the angels and demons of the major religions as well as the ETs.

Alien intervention, UFOs and occult reality

I have from time to time commented upon the reality of an "occult reality behind the scenes in politics and what we experience in the media and global affairs:

It is important to note that I do not advocate that people fixate upon this issue but that they become aware of it so that they know they are being manipulated.
My friend Christopher Knowles has been publishing blogs on the "alien intervention" theory of human development. Read some here and more recently here.
It is my contention that the "occult reality" behind the scenes of everyday life on this world is intimately related to the UFO enigma and the "alien intervention" theory.
I explored the imagery of "2001; A Space Odyssey" on my blog here. Jay Weidner and Christopher Knowles have done a great job of expansion and interpretation in this area as have many others too numerous to name.
We also have the "Disclosure Project" which seeks to have the government reveal the "secret data" on the reality of the UFO phenomenon.
The intervention theory and UFOs are clearly related but the problem with the Disclosure Project is that it has a faulty pretense to start with. They are focused on the idea of the ETH. That UFOs are physical spaceships from distant stars that come to Earth, piloted by physical beings that may be the "greys"

Or even the nefarious "reptilians"

Some comments are appropriate here. There are some that have suggested, as Knowles comments in the link above and as Linda Moulton Howe has in the recent interview I had with her on my radio show available here that the "greys" may be biological androids. The reptilians are another matter entirely and the reality they represent may have psychological implications as well as occult ones.
UFOs as seen by "ETHers" are uni-dimensional they are alien craft piloted by alien beings from another planet.
The reality I think is much more bizarre.
This is part of the convergence of the occult reality, UFOs, and alien intervention.
There seems to be a lot of historical evidence for alien intervention in our history. William Bramley looks at this from a historical perspective in his book "The Gods of Eden". Other researchers have pointed out the "myths" of the world which talk of gods coming down onto the Earth to interact with mankind, bringing "fire", civilization and agriculture.

My take is that these "gods" are not aliens from other planets, but beings from other dimensions.
Quantum physics opens up a lot of doorways into our thinking on what makes up our universe and the idea of a dimension right next door to our own is one of them. Because of the interaction and seemingly intertwined nature of the "beings from outside" with us it seems more likely that we are dealing with intelligences that are very close to us but not normally seen or experienced. This has been explored by many writers like Mac Tonnies and his Cryptoterretrials, as well as John Keel and his Ultraterrestrials. Much of Keel's work has been built upon and expanded by Andy Colvin (you should take some time to look into his work).
This brings me back to Christopher Knowles' recent post on his blog which ends up leading us to Synchronicity.

Synchonicity is a tell-tale sign of a reality operating outside of our normal perception. It is a signal that something is happening that we should be looking at, a hint at a direction we should be following. It is also, I believe, created by interactions between our dimension and others. Our consciousness extends beyond our physical bodies and as such may extend to the edges of our "reality" and when that reality experiences a ripple from a "crossing" from one dimension to another it sets into motion a series of quantum effects that result in synchronicities.

There was a time when I would be absolutely dumbfounded at the level of stupidity of the average American. That time is long gone as the stupid factor climbs. From the very first of the story of the supposed raid on the supposed compound of the alleged Osama Bin Laden and the carefully controlled release of information it has been one big mind fuck. Consider the "spontaneous" gathering of crowds outside of the White House to chant USA, USA. How many people carry flags with them as they scurry about the Capitol around midnight? Apparently a lot of people do. We had the delay of the President speaking, with the eventual leak of the "death" of Osama Bin Laden for the nth time prior to his actual appearance by Wolf Blitzer insider and a psy-op agent extraordinaire since Gulf War I gave us the news on CNN.

The story has morphed and changed with such rapidity that any sane person would be left to scratch their head in bewilderment at the ludicrous attempt to come up with a working story but people just believe it.

Now we have the story of Osama's "wives" that the US wants to question. I have a question for them. Why di they not take all of the people in the compound into custody or kill them? The people should have been questioned at least, no? It doesn't make sense.

There is a conspiracy theory (in other words, a reality) in Pakistan that the US has it's eyes on their nuclear weapons and that they fear a raid by the US to take them or control them. Now the US ramps up for more confrontation with Pakistan and continuous war. We are living in 1984 and have always been at war.

So to vacuity. There is nothing left in the minds of most Americans. Perhaps they are just worn out from too much? But there is no discernment and little care to get any. The President is suddenly loved again even as this country continues it's descent into oblivion.

Various speculations

First I have made it clear that I do not believe the official conspiracy theory of the killing of Osama Bin Laden. But I am also desirous of not giving it too much attention as I have pointed out that this piece of legerdemain has been effective in giving the failing president a boost in popularity even as the country is flooded, torn apart by tornadoes and the economy continues to tank. Not to mention the continuing disaster in Japan. There is of course also the whole idea of the debt and the looming attack on Medicare and other social programs.
Thus I am going to leave off of this topic right after making a couple of observations.
Osama Bin Laden has been reported dead many times over the years. Let us just say that he has been dead a long time. All the higher up folks knew this. Including Obama, Biden, Gates, Panetta, Clinton etc.
Obama sent his "signal" by issuing his "long form" birth certificate. This document appears to many to be a blatant forgery, sloppy and inept as seen in the following video as well as many others:

It is almost like Obama is trying to do two things simultaneously, as though he were suffering from MPD. He is saying on the one hand, look at this obvious fake piece of paper and finally call me on it and bring me down. On the other hand he is saying I can put this lousy piece of garbage out and the people will accept it because I say so, which means I can virtually do anything I want.
Next step, Obama, operating under the same principals, concocts the whole story of Osama Bin Laden's death in a raid he ordered. It's a complete sham and he knows it, as does everybody else in the halls of power. Now we have only two options left to the people in power. One is to allow Obama to go down and go down with him by exposing the sham. Two; scurry to make up a "legend" and back story to support the made up narrative to preserve your own hide, and Obama's (whether you want to or not).
I do not endorse this theory. I just present it for thought. Hell I know nothing of documents so can make no judgement on the authenticity of the document that has been released. I leave the definitive statements for people who are skilled in that field.
Consider that Bush turned down the invite to New York from Obama on his 9/11 memorial visit after Bin Laden was "killed". Was he ever one to not grasp an opportunity for fanfare and adulation? Why would he decline? One reason is that he wants to distance himself from the whole thing because he already knows Bin Laden is dead and realizes that the whole thing could fall apart and destroy anyone connected with it.
Food for thought at least.
The final bit of information here is the changing narrative that smells badly of sloppy work as details are worked out, then something happens to make that detail not work anymore, perhaps someone in the vicinity who could deny it happened that way? Thus the changes. No release of pictures or video and the OBVIOUS AND CLUMSY disposing of the body into the sea so that no one could independently look at and confirm the identity of the corpse. The COMPOUND IS CONVENIENTLY BURNED DOWN. BUT we did get a lot of "intelligence". Now they have a supposed horde of material that they can use to fuel whatever operations they desire. Need to justify bombing Iran? The "Osama material" conveniently has information indicating Iran is building a nuclear bomb. Need to take out Syria? Well...you see where this is going. No proof, just a proclamation, and needs of "national security". No warning to Pakistan on the supposed "raid" indicating that this administration will go right into supposed allies territory with no sanction. All bets are off. We might even be "told" (no proof mind you, nothing released) that the "Osama intelligence horde" has "conclusive proof" that the official government conspiracy on 9/11 is THE truth. Accept it, believe us.
People want to believe. They want to believe so badly that they will throw off the "yoke" of rationality and reason and just fall for anything. I have said that your heroes are DEAD and that you should get over it. Start using your brain or you're nothing but a monkey that has not met the "Monolith" and can't even make a tool that you can use to murder your neighbor with over a watering hole.

Some thoughts on the Jonestown CIA cult experiment:
First is the popular phrase; "Drinking the Kool Aid", which refers to people that simply follow the group mind without thinking for oneself. This originates with the Jonestown Massacre but the drink that was used to supposedly poison the populace with cyanide was in fact Flavor Aid. How did this get mixed up in the first place? It is a pet peeve of mine when people use this phrase that has no historical validity. It would not surprise me if the CIA owed Kraft foods a favor and circulated the story so that Kool Aid would be ubiquitous in the language. The spooks and the corporatocracy are always hand in glove after all.
Second why was there no follow up on the armed white guards that reportedly were involved with the massacre and fled into the jungle never to be seen again?
Third, what, if any, connection is there between Jim Jones decision to move to Guyana and the previous compound set up by David Hill under the name Rabbi Edward Washington. The cult was a black supremacist movement named The House of Israel.
There are tons of other anomalies in the Jonestown saga. I will comment more on this in the future.

Alien dreaming

Inspired by Christopher Knowles' recollection of nightmares involving aliens I am going to recount what is perhaps the most vivid dream that I have ever had. This did not occur when I was a kid, but it should be noted that Chris and I would appear to share some common background in that we both had a difficult childhood. Unfortunately for him he suffered with illness on top of everything else, I just had the everything else.
I'll set the stage:
I was with a group of people travelling by foot into a town that was at once both modern and old fashioned, my first thought was Mayberry, from the Andy Griffith Show but with modern amenities like a modern drugstore and the ubiquitous concrete and steel posts in front of stores that prevent vehicles from ramming storefronts.

These "posts" will have a significance to the story later. They are usually a steel pipe filled with concrete in which the concrete slightly comes out of the top. Apparently they are called bollards.
There was an apparent leader of our group who looked exactly like:

Yes, Lance Henriksen, well known for his role in the movie "Aliens". And like most dream scenarios the man in the dream looked just like the "real" Lance but I "knew" that it wasn't actually him.

We were a small group of people entering this quaint town with modern conveniences and were approaching a drug store on the corner. I noticed that there were people milling about. The town boasted a small "Bijou" type theater. That was another quaint aspect to the place.

The first thing you would notice about the people was that they acted strange. They all moved sluggishly like a typical zombie but looked perfectly "normal", no rotting flesh etc..

The group of people I was with including the Lance Henriksen look-alike were completely normal looking and acting.

We, as a group knew that the town was already overrun with aliens. The "zombie-like" humans were in fact aliens. That was a telling sign in the dream world.

Apparently we were travelling around the country looking for human survivors and also getting supplies. One thing that we, as humans, had in our favor was that the alien/zombies were slow and clumsy and would not attack people in groups unless they had a huge advantage in numbers because they were easily killed.

At first, while we were noticed by the aliens there were only a couple of them in our immediate vicinity. We sat on a bench out front of the modern pharmacy where the bollards were on the sidewalk in front of the store.

We were discussing what to do, and had made up our mind to rest a minute and then move on as the town was overrun. It was at this point that an alien came out of the pharmacy and a couple more joined him and they started to gather. We all got up and formed a tight knit group. When a sufficient number of them had gathered we knew we might be in trouble, and we were only armed with crude weapons like clubs. One of the aliens, the one that had emerged from the pharmacy went over to a bollard and used a small hand-held device that was obviously some type of laser cutter. He started to work on the bollard top. I knew, in the dream, that the aliens used small round discs in some fashion to "turn" humans into aliens, and that ideally they had a specific device they used for this but that any round disc like object would work. The alien was cutting the top of the bollard off to use it as an agent to change us.

The aliens started gathering around us and when they thought they had enough of an advantage number wise a small boy alien of about 14-15 years old clumsily attacked. They only used their bare hands. The Lance look-alike had a bludgeon of some type and beat the kid mercilessly and he was dead on the ground in seconds. Another distinguishing characteristic of these creatures was that they "bled" a black tarry substance and they quickly disintegrated into a tarry mess. By the time our confrontation was over the boy alien was nothing but a sticky tarry black splotch on the ground.

The aliens hesitated and we took the opportunity to gather and start to make our way down the road out of town. We were accosted on our way by one of the creatures who taunted us by saying things like: "We will defeat you", and "We will take over the whole Earth." This led to a heated exchange involving profanity and it was at that point that I woke with a curse on my lips as I started awake and literally sat up in bed.

The most vivid dream I have ever had and one which involves aliens taking over the Earth.

"Our Gods Wear Spandex" review

Christopher Knowles, best known, perhaps, for his blog Secret Sun. Is also an author and has penned 2 books; "Our Gods Wear Spandex" and "The Secret History of Rock and Roll". I have not yet read the latter but this review will examine the first, which I recommend.

Many of the concepts that Chris examines in his blog are further extrapolated in this book. Much of what Chris does is examine popular culture and note the influence of mythology and the Mystery Religions.
As can be seen by the title and the cover art (which is done well by Joseph Michael Linsner) this book is about the origin of the comic book and the development of the "comic book hero".
The book is an excellent start for anyone interested in looking at a primer on the development of the modern comic book. It highlights many of the better known names in the business, both artists and writers. Knowles has a special place for Jack Kirby.
Chris shows quite clearly how the modern heroes have developed out of the "Old Gods" and the further development of those characters by artists and writers that were influenced by the occult and mystical societies like "The Rosicrucians", "Freemasonry", and "Theosophy".
The theme expressed is that people are looking for heroes and they find them in comics.
It has been my contention that our heroes are in fact dead already. But maybe as Lovecraft observes about Cthulhu and other "Old Gods" our heroes (as embodiments of ancient myth and reality) are dead but also alive. They are in the liminal state between the waking world and that of dreams, or the collective unconscious. They are merely waiting until the "stars come right" to return to offer us salvation (or damnation).
The influence of the "ancient astronauts" is of course explored here as well, notably through the work of Kirby.
It is perhaps in this latter that we see the development of the very first heroes, the ancient gods of old, Horus, Gilgamesh, Attis, and the rest. That what we have as mythology is really history and that these being were here at one time "in the flesh" so to speak.
Our heroes and saviors have been with us throughout the millenia in our culture in overt and covert ways. Comics is a modern form of expression (if you discount cave art and clay tablets) of this hidden meme.
Chris leaves us to wonder what will come of this in the future. Where will we be? What if the "old gods" return and our heroes are writ large as life right before us? Will they be happy with how we developed and offer us hope for the future? Will they be returning to take back what is theirs?
If you see Horus descending like an angel from the brightness of the Sun as depicted in "Kingdom Come" (only replacing Horus with Superman and the other greats of comic bookdom) then you will know that the time for questions is over and our answers are coming. Whether we like them or not.

"Skyline" modern mythology meets Christian and mystic symbolism

Interestingly the characters in the movie apparently have no last names.
The story revolves around a couple Jarrod and Elaine, and Jarrod's friend Terry, his wife, assistant and friend as well as Oliver.
In this story Terry has become a success in the land of dreams Los Angeles, in the West, the land of the setting sun.
Jarrod is clearly the talented creative person in the friendship between him and Terry and yet Terry is the one who has been gifted with success. Terry has invited Jarrod and his girlfriend out to his place.

Jarrod

Jarrod is clearly an artist and creative type, the "right brain" personified.
Terry lives in an exclusive building on a high floor, showing in effect his superior status as being above the "rabble" and a member of the "elite". Jarrod and his girlfriend are members of the proletariat, blue collar types, thrust into the party atmosphere. They have some difficulty because of dissociation and a derangement of senses helped by the liberal use of alcohol and drugs.
The real story starts with the descent of BLUE light emitters onto the city, which have an overwhelming attraction for people. It should be noted that this is a complete ripoff of the so-called "Project Bluebeam" purportedly a secret government program to simulate an alien invasion or the second coming of Christ or Mohammed for propaganda purposes. This has been shown to largely be a complete fabrication, maybe as disinformation by the government or simply the imagination of a religious fanatic. One might see some of Christopher Knowles' work on this topic or listen to an interview I had with him in which we talked about this very topic.
The BLUE light, again more water association, in this case the aliens appear to not be interested in the water because they are focused on humanity and man does not live on the water but on the land, serves as a carrier for a sort of neuro-chemical "virus" which hypnotizes the viewer while the body is "abducted" and taken aboard the alien craft for nefarious purposes.
Jarrod sees the light, is ENLIGHTENED.

Blue light virus infects Jarrod

Jarrod is spared abduction because the contact was broken before it could get to the critical moment. Additional information is revealed in the movie which indicate that Jarrod may have had other things going on that helped him to avoid the effects of the light. Having been inoculated, so to speak he later may look on the light without totally succumbing AND may project his thoughts through the viral link to the "aliens" and affect them remotely. Mind control for sure. The neuro-chemical-mechanical "virus" seems to impart to the human victim a sense and reality of physical and mental power. Jarrod later demonstrates this.
The "aliens" are an interesting element in this movie.

"Alien" Mothership

There are obvious parallels between the aliens in this movie and the Borg, and the Matrix's "Squiddies"

and the Ogdru Jahad from Hellboy

as well as the amorphous, tentacled monsters of H. P. Lovecraft. The Lovecraft element is most apparent because of two factors. The first is the origin of the "aliens" is strongly implied to be from another dimension and not from outer space, contextual analysis will reveal this as you watch the movie. The second point is the OBVIOUS connection between the aliens and humans that implies....wait for it.... alien intervention theory!
It is obvious that the aliens have an intimate connection with humans and may, in fact, NEED humans. I will not spoil the movie further by laying this out here but you will see this clearly displayed in the movie.

What is perhaps even more significant is the strong connection to the Rapture of Christianity. Only in this case it is a sort of "anti-rapture".
The religious element is repeated in a number of ways in the movie, where sins result in punishment delivered by the "hand of God" in the form of "aliens".
The religious element is very strong and is clearly Christian in origin in the film. The "Project Blue Beam" connection clearly indicates some strong influence from "fringe" Christian groups.
There are some other overt and covert themes that become apparent as one watches the movie. We have the LIGHT bringing ENLIGHTENMENT which confers POWER. This is the very heart of Hermeticism as well as many secret societies. There is of course an element of danger in this seeking of enlightenment as is well known to those who have looked into this.

And Eastern religions, but that connection is not explored in this film with it's heavy Christian symbolism.
There is, of course, the brave, selfless sacrifice of the military. The military intervention in the movie may be jarringly out of context because one of the first things they do is to hit one of the mother ships with a nuclear weapon.

Seemingly showing no regard for the people of Los Angeles. One must remember that other military action elsewhere may have proven ineffective and most of the people of Los Angeles were by this time gone. This is really not adequately explained or explored in the movie and is a contextual problem.
In all the movie is highly derivative and has many contextual errors, but the symbolism and the origins of the themes explored, lightly, or heavily, in the movie are well worth looking into.
The creative artist, sets on a path of enlightenment, by going WEST into the setting Sun perhaps indicating a sort of reverse or negative enlightenment. There is an element of incorporation into a greater whole, but with the caveat of the power of human will and love. This results in a sort of individuation within the collective, shades of Jung perhaps. Not a great movie but watchable.

Japan Nuclear crisis and war in Libya

For those who follow the news, and who can avoid it in the face of so much negative action lately, I will make a few observations on these issues.
The swing in media reporting on Japan from deadly contamination to it's all under control is meant to drive emotions. The disaster their is real and heartbreaking for many. What is worse is the obvious manipulation of the event by the media to drive emotions and evoke sharp responses.
President Obama's justifications for war in Libya are so completely idiotic that one wonders why he bothered to make them in the first place. No consultation with congress and getting his orders from the UN is very telling. The amazing thing to me is the continued support for this president from so-called progressives and "liberals". Not only has he already shown he is war happy like his predecessor by continuing the illegal Iraq war, prolonging and intensifying the Afghan war which has no purpose that anyone can define, and ramping up assaults on Pakistan, but now has his own war to boot. Progressives are quick to paint themselves into a corner by arguing that we are "defending people from an evil dictator". But amazingly they never bothered to call for US intervention into Syria, Yemen or countless African nations in similar situations.

Battle: Los Angeles

I was somewhat disappointed that the movie did not really connect with the real Battle of Los Angeles. But the movie presented a lot of themes that are worth exploring. Some of the overt themes are the tenacity of humanity. Also the meme of alien invasion. There is also a not so subtle reference to the next big thing in catastrophes and that is the scarcity of water. There is the general glorification of the military in the mix too.
I guess they were basing this loosely on the original Battle of LA where, during World War II, there was a massive air raid on an unknown object in the sky that didn't succeed in shooting anything down.

There is very little extrapolation of spiritual ideas in the movie which is rather strange from a science fiction perspective however there are a lot of undertones. Human capacity to "win" is shown to be founded upon will which is a function of ego. The struggling humans only succeed when they are able to push themselves further and this is through a conscious act of will.
The main character is played by Aaron Eckhart, who just so happened (wink, wink) to play Two-Face/Harvey Dent in The Dark Knight.

He is the reluctant hero. There is one direct esoteric reference to religion in that SSgt Nantz (played by Eckhart) carries out the scene of Christ in the garden of Gethsemane where he asks to have the burden he carries to be removed, if possible; by resigning from the marines just prior to the invasion (because of a burden he carries).
Nantz is a Reluctant hero in the classical sense. Much like in Joseph Campbell's "The Hero with a Thousand Faces".
There is no supernatural intervention for Nantz in the story arc (unless one can say that the supernatural intervention is the alien invasion itself, which does come from "the heavens"- the invasion also nullifies Nantz's attempt at quitting the marines) but he does experience the period of doubt and overcomes his burden by confronting it directly. He also takes the mantle fully during the course of the movie even going so far as to dig into an alien in order to determine a method by which they can be killed. This mirrors somewhat the idea of Mithras killing the bull in the Mithraic Mysteries.

Nantz is clearly the driving force and character of the movie. The other soldiers are along for the ride. They also fail to recognize the hero in Nantz until they see for themselves (shades of "Doubting Thomas").
The overwhelming message of the movie is the idea that reluctant hero Nantz is really the only hope that humanity has and through him and his transformation others may rise to the challenge. This is clearly an imitation of initiation into the Mysteries and the receiving of sacred knowledge, by the supporting characters. Without Nantz Los Angeles is lost, and by extension the Earth.
Some side issues worth note are the ideas that the aliens need Water (symbolic motifs include Trance-formation, Purification, and Blessing) and that water is scarce everywhere but here, and that the water is used to power the aliens devices. Water is going to be a big thing in the coming years and the meme of it's importance is certainly strengthened with this movie.

(Update: 3/15/11: The History Channel has a show "Prophets of Doom", this morning's topic, you guessed it; WATER. They discuss pharmaceutical contamination, sewage contamination and loss of supply, etc. They discussed other doom scenarios but I happened to turn the TV on at the time they were discussing WATER.)

The aliens show no real interest in man and do nothing in the movie but destroy and kill. There is no attempt at communication that is revealed. The aliens, although generally anthropomorphic, are radically different from humans. The aliens are TRULY alien, and as such are truly Other.
A science fiction story, a trans formative story, an initiatory story, and with very subtle elements. It will have resonance with some who can catch these subtleties.
The final note of "coincidence" is that on the day of it's release Japan was hit by an Earthquake and subsequent Tsunami.

I was thinking as I drove to the theater to see the movie that I would have to do a video talking about it in context. Then seeing the movie I noted 2 things immediately, the arrival of the aliens was cloaked as a meteor swarm and they landed in the ocean causing massive waves and devastation.

UNBREAKABLE, superhero origins, esoteric underpinnings

The movie "Unbreakable" is one of those movies that really hit a note with me. In the M. Night Shyamalan canon it is easily up there with "The Sixth Sense" in power but is sadly underrated.

This is a classic good vs. evil story on it's surface but much like all movies there is a plethora of subtext in the movie that are worthy of exploration. In the good vs. evil sense it is classically a comic book tale and is overtly designed to be so. For those who have studied comics or have an interest in the genre will have some idea of what kind of history and origin most comic book heroes and villains have.

Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson are the primary stars of the movie. Bruce Willis also starred in the huge hit "The Sixth Sense" previously mentioned. Willis has become identified as a heroic character in many film roles, perhaps starting with the "Die Hard" series.

In this picture Bruce is shown with the iconic smirk that he exhibits in his films.
Samuel L. Jackson has a mixed history in film. It could be argued that his most notable role was in "Pulp Fiction" opposite John Travolta, but he has been both villain and hero in various roles.

His role in "Pulp Fiction", while being a classic bad guy type, is also a deeply philosophical person.

In "Unbreakable" the movie begins with the birth of ELIJAH "Yahweh is my God" Price (Samuel L. Jackson), unexpectedly in a store. A doctor is summoned and upon examining the baby determines that his arms and legs are broken. It should be noted here that there is no father figure around with Elijah, no mention is made of his father at this time or any time in the movie. This is an important point for later perusal.
The movie moves to David Dunn "The Beloved Dark (one)" (Bruce Willis) on a train bound for home in Philadelphia. The first secondary character we meet is a young lady that sits next to him. Her name is Kelly "Church" who is on her way to TEMPLE University. Kelly is a very strong subliminal presence. First she exhibits a BLUE shirt that has a watery pattern on it (more on this later) and has a tattoo on her stomach of a VINE (the significance of this will become clear later). Dunn makes a crude attempt to hit on her and she rejects him and moves away.
Dunn is dressed in a suit with a GREEN shirt. After talking with Kelly, Dunn senses the coming disaster and the screen whites out.
Dunn's train #177, due in at 3:40 (=7) derails and is a massive tragedy. We first meet Dunn's son JOSEPH "Jehovah/Yahweh increases" in an interlude here as he watches TV and sees a report on the train wreck. Joseph appears throughout the film as almost androgynous, and exhibits an almost pathological attraction to his dad.
Dunn wakes up in a hospital, uninjured.

It turns out he is the sole survivor of the crash and has no injuries, not even a scratch. Here we meet AUDREY "Noble Strength" Dunn (nee Inverso "Opposite/reverse"). And we have the revelation of the marriage troubles between the couple. They are separated by a stairway at home, which appears ominously steep as they sleep in separate rooms.

Stairs play an important role later in the movie as well.
Dunn is a security guard at a stadium, and wears a dark green poncho when it is raining. Green is associated with Dunn throughout the movie.
We have a brief interlude with the young Elijah Price where once again there is no hint of a father figure.
Elijah first contacts David Dunn by leaving a card under the wiper of his vehicle parked at the memorial service for the victims of the train wreck. Elijah leaves a card asking "How many days have you been sick in your life?" or words to that effect.
Led to the store Limited Edition by the card we have the first meeting of Dunn and Price. Price's shop is BLUE, he wears a coat that is lined in blue. The store is blue.
It should be noted that there is a strong MIB quality to the Price character as well, since he wears a floor length trench coat.

At the meeting Price reveals his theory to Dunn about his search for a hero PUT HERE to protect us. He delivers this to Dunn while seated at his desk with an Egyptian frieze behind him.

He explains the idea that if he, having a rare disease that causes his bones to be brittle, is on one end of the spectrum there must be people on the other end who don't break.
The basic comic book idea of superheroes is revealed. Price's store is filled with comic book art, as well as, incongruously religious iconography and ancient items like that pictured above.
We find that David had played football in school for a team called the WARRIORS. He was a star athlete until a car wreck ruined it.
Elijah, initially skeptical of the idea of Dunn being a superhero because of his lack of certainty of his not being ill, and the accident that injured him nonetheless decides to dig a little deeper so finds David at work.
Elijah sees David in action as he apparently detects a man in line who is armed.
Desperate to prove or disprove David's ability Elijah follows the man and it is during this quest that Elijah encounters an ominous staircase, leading DOWN, into the ~~underworld~~ subway.
Price falls and ends up with numerous broken bones but finds the answer he seeks. Like a passage into the underworld for knowledge it is always fraught with peril and sacrifice.

Joseph believes the theory that David is a superhero and they both have a moment that appears to partially validate that theory when David lifts weights, eventually lifting all of them and more, totaling much more than he had ever lifted before.
In the basement where he works out there is an incongruous poster of a donkey or ass which Joseph stands in close proximity to as his dad works out. Joseph and a donkey.
Audrey is a rehab. nurse and Elijah maneuvers to have her as his therapist for his convalescence so that he can learn more about David. He tells Audrey about his theory. She thinks he's nuts.
David again at work decides to test the idea that he can sense evil in people. He detects someone doing something with drugs. This character is Shyamalan and he is dressed in blue. His sense seems to have been proven wrong as the man has nothing when searched.
Shortly after this David is called to school for his son. There he finds out that he almost drowned in the school pool when he was a child and had not remembered it. David abandons the theory, Price when told becomes dejected, but Joseph still believes. To prove to his dad that he is a superhero he gets his dad's gun and is going to shoot his father having faith that the bullet will not hurt him. David talks his son down.
At this point we find out that David has a sadness every morning when he wakes up. Elijah has an epiphany while perusing a comic store.

The Dunn's house is green. David knows something is not right in his life. He purposely keeps his wife and son at a distance and does not know why.
Elijah's epiphany is that David has a weakness, which most superheroes have. David's is WATER. Now we have some symbolic connections. The color of water is blue, blue in profusion is perceived as cold and uncaring. David himself is connected with GREEN throughout the movie which is the color of life and peace. Let's look back to Kelly on the train. Kelly "Church" on the way to TEMPLE had a water shirt on and a vine tattoo. She was a walking contradiction. David is drawn but ultimately repulsed. The vine, life and green attracts but the water print shirt repels him. Elijah Price is continuously connected with BLUE, the color of water and cold and uncaring. Price is a nemesis to David.
We soon find out through flashback that David's accident did NOT injure him, and he exhibited an extraordinary strength in rescuing his wife to be Audrey Inverso "Noble Strength reversed". She herself is a form of nemesis to David. He concocts his injury for her knowing that she would not be with him if he continued with his football career. He lies for love.
Now David again is left to ask what to do since he now is starting to believe. Price tells him to test his power around people. David goes to the train station and interacts with people until he finds a murderer. But not before he is almost overwhelmed with the senses he receives from all of the people. Evil is in fact everywhere you look, from the petty to the great.
David follows the killer to a house. There are 2 significant shots of stairways in the house. One that leads down to the dead Father and the other that leads up to redemption. He senses the things that have gone on there. He rescues 2 children from bondage. He is shoved from a balcony into the pool in the yard. He goes under, his weakness in full bloom he struggles. Ultimately he is rescued by the kids he saved. He reenters the house and takes out the killer but is too late to save the mother.
The consummation of his act brings a sense of relief to David that causes him to reconnect with his wife. This brings up another element in the story and that is the question of free will and destiny. It also would call into question the idea of DNA as a driver in one's life. David felt empty and as if something was wrong in his life until he did what NATURE (GREEN, DNA) was compelling him to do. Fulfill his destiny.
There is an unspoken communication between David and his son in the aftermath of the action David took. They have to keep it secret from the mom, as she is a nemesis to his power.
The movie culminates when David attends a sale at Elijah Price's shop and discovers his secret when they shake hands. Price is his nemesis and the person responsible for the train wreck and other tragic acts in the city because he was trying to find the hero. David turns him in. End.
But there is more! There is also a strong religious undertone in the movie and the strongest is the Gnostic element. Elijah is a Biblical name meaning "Yahweh/Jehovah is my God". Price is an agent of Yahweh. In the Gnostic teachings Yahweh is the demiurge that created brute matter to imprison souls. Elijah is identified with the demiurge and as it's agent. The demiurge is without the care and compassion of the creator God and as such he is associated with the uncaring color BLUE. We also have the very important points that Elijah is without a father, no mention or hint of him throughout the movie. This implies that he literally HAD no father, shades of virgin birth. Elijah could be seen as the Jesus figure but not a redemptive character rather one that seeks to further enslave the soul or spirit. And the second point that Elijah makes in the movie, that heroes are PUT HERE to protect. So who or what puts them here? In comic book lore that could be any number of reasons, but for those heroes that have real super powers it is usually a numinous or otherworldly thing that does it. Superman was an alien after all. There is a driving force in David that until fulfilled leaves him empty. Elijah represents body without spirit or care. He kills without remorse, but is ultimately weak and brittle. David Dunn the "beloved dark (one)" is body and spirit. He is a product of genetic engineering just as Elijah himself is. This implies the intervention theory as to origins of these things in humanity. This also implies that DNA has a driver embedded within it that compels us to do that which we are designed to do.
David is beloved because he is blessed with the spirit of the gods that made man and his DNA showed it in his abilities and left him feeling empty until he fulfilled his role. It should be noted that in the Bible King David was beloved by God but denied the task of building the TEMPLE because he had blood on his hands (he was "dark" like Dunn).
David's wife Audrey Inverso is "Noble Strength Reversed" and is an obstacle to David's fulfilling of his DNA driver. He had to concoct his injury in order to stay with her, and throughout their time together had grown apart because she acted as a hedge against his doing his duty which required danger. Only when he embraced his duty and decided to keep his wife in the dark about it did a happy resolution present itself. It was love that David chose. Even love was not enough to negate the DNA imprint and thus David was left uncompleted. Remember also Joseph and the Donkey, shades of the bible again. Joseph is unnaturally drawn to his dad, and with his androgynous appearance could represent both Mary and Joseph in a sense. Like Mary he had FAITH that his father was a hero. Finally the stairs. In this movie the stairs are a symbol of DNA as well as a metaphor for separation. The Earthly world is separated from the Divine by a ladder to heaven. The underworld must be gained by descending. The stairs separate the wife and husband. DNA separates the wife and husband, by driving him to do things that would cause friction in their marriage. DNA is a bane to Elijah leaving him brittle.
Alien intervention, gnostic underpinnings, Biblical imagery. This movie had them all. Perhaps that is why it resonated so strongly with me.

Fascist Amerika

Sometimes it is necessary to remind people that we live in a very different United States than that which our ancestors were familiar. While there was a time as recent as the 1950's and 60's that the people in this country were actually pretty well off in the grand scheme of things those times are long past. Indeed the decline of the American middle class started in the 1970's with abandon. No longer were we the land of the American dream for most people, since that time real wages for the middle class has stagnated or been very slow to keep pace with the gathering wealth of the rich and corporations.

This graph is from this website which clearly shows that since 1967 the upper 5th of the population has seen a growth in income and real wealth while the other 4/5ths have seen a decline. This proves the assertion that the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.
Inequality has become endemic in the United States such that it is virtually impossible for one to break into the class above the one you occupy. That is antithetical to the so-called American Dream.
The thing that people need to realize, one of the most important lessons in this display, is that the rich get richer even when we suffer economic declines. This is most readily apparent in the recent economic collapse of 2008 and ongoing.
Lest people accuse me of being a Marxist, which I most assuredly am not, I need to point out that there is nothing wrong with striking it rich or achieving wealth and fame. That should be something attainable by all, and the fact that it isn't is the thing that is wrong.
The government of the United States has largely been suborned by the money and power of corporations like Goldman Sachs. There are a great many "former" Goldman Sachs employees in the Obama administration which should tell you the dynamic that is going on.
That brings me to another very important point. For the "Tea Party" and radical right types as well as the people on the left that would continue to support the treacherous duplicity of the man, this is especially important to know and acknowledge. Obama is NOT a Socialist, Marxist, Communist, pro-union, anti-corporate leftist. Far from it. And most especially he is a corporatist fascist and because he has a strongly established left cover he is the perfect wolf in sheep's clothing.
If one were to look at the totality of what has been accomplished in Obama's presidency one is left with the undeniable conclusion that Obama is a corporate man.
The country is not completely lost yet but it is fast heading that way. People from all sides of the political spectrum need to realize that that it is corporate domination of the body politic that has led to the mess we are in.
The latest thing that fuels this corporate agenda is an attack on unions. Many people jump on this bandwagon because it is easy to do so when you have a job that doesn't pay as much or have adequate benefits. But look at the flip side. If the private sector was doing what should be done, by providing a living wage and adequate benefits then there would be nothing for people to envy about public unions. But more importantly it is an obvious attempt by the same rich and corporations to throw people off the scent of their own fraud and theft and responsibility for the economic disaster that has presaged the current debate.
People fall for this because they have been fed a bill of goods for years which tells them that there is a "left and a "right" and that Democrats are "for the people" and Republicans "are for big business". This is all a joke. It is the biggest con job. The fact that people are quick to jump on the anti-union bandwagon proves that the divide and conquer strategy is working.
Should it be more of a goal for all to fight for the benefits of your FELLOW workers and those in the middle class and TOGETHER work for the implementation of a living wage and adequate benefits for ALL. And JOIN together to wrest control of the government away from the corporate scalliwags and the rich that control it rather than begrudging someone that happens to make a pittance more than you do?

2001: A Space Odyssey

My first thoughts about the movie in light of recent events caused me to think that this was one of those times that science fiction seemingly predicts the future. There are 2 prominent monoliths in the movie. The smaller one that is on Earth in the beginning and the larger one in orbit around Jupiter. This reminded me of the twin towers in Manhattan which fell on 9/11/2001.
What we have with the movie is a deeper story than the overt one, which in my view also relates to the 9/11 attacks.
The movie begins in darkness. Then we see the logo for MGM and the fantastic shot of the Moon, Earth, Sun as seen from space.
We enter at the "Dawn of Man". Where proto-humans, which seem much more ape like than any kind of pre-humans, are engaged in the act of survival. It seems that this is the world before the Garden of Eden. The ape-like creatures live a relatively rough existence, and are subject to the whims of nature and predators. The also appear to have no physically aggressive tendencies. They posture and pose and screech but they do not attack one another and barely even have an idea of how to resist or fight back when they are attacked, like when the leopard attacks. They also appear to be largely vegetarian living in peace with the other mammals.
After a night cowering in a crevice in the rocks some of the pre-humans awake to find the monolith resting before them.

The monolith is the intervention of God, who then brings the Garden of Eden into being with the "creation" of man. What exactly does the monolith do? It does two things. It teaches tool use, essential for evolution to be sure. The monolith also teaches aggression and violence which may be a questionable trait in an evolutionary sense. They both have a purpose. The origin for violence and aggression in religious myth is always with the "Devil" or a Satanic figure of some kind. The monolith is now more than God it is also the Devil. It brings the Garden of Eden into existence and also brings sin in the form of murder.

The first murder in the Bible is Cain killing Abel his brother. And one of the first things that the pre-humans do with their new talents is to take over the Garden of Eden, symbolized by the watering hole. In this act they kill another pre-human. And just like "original sin" all of the pre-humans take part by striking the doomed creature. This can also be seen as an allusion to the murder of Caesar where many hands struck the blows.
Innocence is lost.
Jump ahead to the present, or in this case 2001. We meet Heywood Floyd ( can you also say Pink Floyd) who is on his way to the moon in a commercial space plane.

Heywood Floyd is the keeper of secrets. He goes to the moon to investigate a discovery and to make sure that it is kept secret. This is straight from the Brookings Report on the possibility of discovery of aliens or alien artifacts and the impact it might have on Earth culture and psychology. The report famously argued for secrecy to "protect" people from the culture shock.
Heywood is sent to make sure that recommendation is adhered to.
Of course they have discovered the monolith, buried on the moon, 40 feet under the soil. It has a huge magnetic signature that lead the people to find it. It was buried on purpose, and meant to be dug up. A cover story is concocted to keep people from going to Clavius Moon Base and finding out the truth. Floyd is in charge of this cover up. He subtly passes on the "rumor" himself to some Russians he meets en route to the Moon.
Floyd's Clavius Moon Base ID number is 355, which adds up to 13. He is the unlucky one, because it is he that brings doom to the future mission to Jupiter.
The monolith is thought to be 4 million years buried. Which would seem to make the monlith's interdiction on Earth to be about the same time frame.
Ardipithicus Ramidus was supposedly around about then.

The monolith is uncovered and when the Sun hits it emits a signal to Jupiter.
On to the mission to Jupiter. Jupiter is the chief of the gods in old myth, and the largest of the planets in the Solar System. It's a voyage of discovery and the ship is called Discovery One.
Enter the last three characters in the drama. Dave Bowman (the "Beloved Archer") and Frank Poole the crew of the ship and HAL 9000 the sentient computer that runs the ship and knows the score.
The remainder of the scientific team is in hibernation in mummy like capsules inside of see through sarcophagi. They are the scientists. They know the score. The only ones out of the loop are Dave and Frank.

It should be noted that the ship has 13 sections, 3 antennae, and 3 docking bay doors.
This is another use of numerical symbolism. Like Floyd who's ID number adds up to 13, the ship's sections add up to 13. Both are doomed. Heywood in old English or Welsh is a fenced in area of land, usually something that nobility reserve for themselves, like the "King's lands". There is an element of exclusion and secrecy. Floyd means "grey beard" which implies age as well as wisdom. One could say that Heywood is the "wise man of the King's lands". Being in the position he is in, a high official in NACA, a similar organization to NASA, he would have to be intelligent and wise. That trait is lessened or muted in this story by his unlucky 13 designation.
HAL is the only member of the awake crew that knows the entire mission and he also knows that Dave and Frank are not to know of it until they reach Jupiter and the scientists are revived. HAL is a 9000 series computer, which boasts error free operation. 9 is the cube of 3. In the Kabbalah the number 9 denotes anger and strife, as well as energy. 3 is the number of Jupiter.
HAL is a stand-in for God and the authorities. Dave and Frank represent humanity, in the dark, unknowing.
HAL is in a bind, caused by the secrecy. He tests Bowman's knowledge of, and commitment to, the mission. I believe this is an attempt on the part of HAL to both impart knowledge as well as to find out if Bowman knows anything. There might have been a breakthrough for HAL had the conversation with Bowman continued. The "beloved archer" gives HAL a way to escape back into the shell of secrecy which completes his psychotic break.

HAL's red eye is ever present, he sees all, knows all. It is quite clear that HAL is a stand-in for God. He is the pinnacle of man's intellect. Much like God is the creation of man, according to some.
When the conversation between HAL and Bowman is ended with Bowman giving HAL a way back into his realm of secrecy it produces the psychotic break. HAL announces the fault in the AE35 unit.
It is agreed that the unit should be replaced. So they EVA in a pod that looks like an egg, and wear helmets, which when viewed from above look like lizard heads.
When the AE35 is analyzed it is found to be without fault. HAL has been found out. Though Frank and Dave take pains to have a discussion free from HAL eavesdropping HAL nonetheless reads their lips while they discuss the possibility of his malfunctioning. It should be noted here that Frank is the one with the most misgivings about HAL And just as his name implies Frank is "free" with his opinions.
HAL chooses the only option left to him at this point and that is to kill all of the humans and complete the mission himself. Frank goes EVA to put the original AE35 back to see if it fails. HAL kills Frank. Dave leaves in a pod, without his space helmet, to retrieve Franks body. While Dave is gone HAL murders the hibernating astronauts. There is no going back now.
Dave is denied re-entry onto the ship by HAL. It is at this point that Dave has to take a leap of faith and figuratively cross the threshold of death, or the crossing of the Abyss in occult ritual. He crosses space into the airlock of the ship.
At this point he disconnects all of HAL's higher functions and takes control of the ship. Bowman, the "beloved archer" kills God and takes command of his life and the rest of humanity by extension. Bowman reaches Jupiter and completes the mission. The "beloved archer" penetrates the monolith like an arrow and is transported through the wonders of the universe and is deposited into what appears to be an elegantly appointed suite, with paintings and antique furniture as well as statuary. This place represents he concepts of art and creativity. The right brain. Whereas HAL and the technological God represented pure reason or left brain. It is now that the movie and the cycle reaches fruition. Bowman lives his whole life in a brief span of time and is reborn as an infant Godling. In the end he is looking upon the Earth with wide eyes.
As you can see this movie has many subtexts. Not the least of which is a championing of the idea that humans were helped along in their evolution by outside agencies. The alien intervention theory.
Technology is shown in the end to be subject to the same faults as the humans that make it. HAL goes mad because of the way he was programmed and the secrecy that he must maintain. It is about the evolution of man, the end of technology, the leap forward to Godhood. One is left wondering in the end if it is man himself that once transformed goes back into the past to spur the development of his ancestors.
I do see some parallels with 9/11 as well. The two monoliths, the year 2001, the secrecy of the real story, the cover up, and the failure of technology.
There is a strong occult and religious subtext in this movie. It is story driven and uses scant imagery to portray the significance of it.

We can learn much from this film and the works of Kubrick in general because there is always more to the film than meets the eye. One thing that should be clear and that is that secrecy almost always leads to loss and sacrifice. There is also a path to spiritual evolution open to humanity, according to Kubrick, which involves the death of God and the assumption of Godhood by man, through the limits of technology, a traversal across the abyss and a reconnection with the creativity of the right brain.

Anti-union rhetoric

It still astonishes me that people are so easily distracted by the idea that unions are somehow at fault for things being bad economically. How is it that people cannot see the benefit that unions have brought to this country? The unions stopped the drastic sweat shop working conditions in the past. They raised the standard of living for everybody. People look at this issue the wrong way. Rather than thinking about how the unions need to give something up to make them more like the minimum wage drones in the mostly service industry of the United States; why not expect and fight for everyone to be making a living decent wage.
There is a war being waged in this country and around the world against the middle class and the poor masses. The rich through the banks and the Federal Reserve have effectively destroyed the economy. Pension plans have suffered from this fact and fraud of course in the real estate market via packaged securities.
Now states suffer for lack of funds. Who is at fault? The rich and bankers have caused it.
The attack on unions are a direct assault on labor. The end result is going to mean that people in this country will be working for poverty level wages, totally at the mercy of the corporate masters, hired or fired on a whim. We will all be slaves, or "serfs" if you prefer. Unable to afford our own homes we will live on the "master's" land at his whim and "mercy".
This will complete the transformation of the United States into the new third world country.

Wisconsin Union Busting attempt

Wisconsin may or may not have a deficit this year. It will have a deficit in coming years, that will be added to by the governor's passage of tax cuts for corporations that start next fiscal year.
One of the principal things that the governor has targeted is the right to collectively bargain over "working conditions". How is that going to impact the states finances??
The Koch brothers, billionaire Wall Street financiers, who support so-called "conservative" (in actuality far right ideologue) candidates that want to engage the people in a war between the poor and the not-so-poor so that you will not be looking at the theft and fraud they and their mega-rich cohorts commit, are funding the anti-union counter-protests in Wisconsin.
I'm surprised that so many buy this nonsense and fall for the trap. Why not walk down your street and smash the neighbor's car because it is a newer or better model than yours? Never mind that if you are unemployed you can thank corporate greed for that and so-called "free" trade and poor management. Your neighbor still owns his home? Yours is in foreclosure? Well then I guess you better go burn down his house, how dare him still have a home when yours is being taken away! Never mind it is the banks fraud and Federal Reserve policies that have led to the situation. Do you see the idiocy of that position?

The mega-rich,Wall Street fraud, theft, and deception, and the Federal Reserve's failure to provide help to the states (despite giving trillions of dollars in 0% or near 0% interest "loans" to FOREIGN banks and corporations) are the primary drivers of state budget problems as well as the budget problems of the country in general. So don't look to your neighbor as the problem rather look toward the real culprits.
Also be wary of alternative sites that promote supposed "conservative" positions, like Alex Jones who posts articles prominently on his website that subtly lay the blame on "greedy people". Some of the information in that article is worth consideration but any of it that seeks to lay blame on people who have a negotiated contract for the problems of the state of Wisconsin or anywhere else is simply ludicrous.
The unions did not have a gun pointing at the heads of the negotiators when they made their collective bargaining agreement. Now some want to give the employer the equivalent of a chainsaw to hack and slash their way through these agreements in order place the blame for their misdeeds and mismanagement (and financial fraud and theft ultimately having it's origin on Wall Street) onto regular workers. Steamshovel Press

I'm glad to see that Steamshovel Press is back. Kenn Thomas is a prolific author and has a wealth of information to share on all things parapolitical. A couple of the newest pieces of a grand puzzle have just been added to his website and are well worth a read.
The first one involves the Marconi scientist death list. In the newest material added to the site is a link to this blog which mentions Kenn Thomas' work in this area. It also brings up to date a little more the Marconi story. It seems that there were a rash of mysterious deaths of Marconi scientists through the late 80's and 90's and they were thought to be related to SDI or Reagan's "Star Wars" program. What Kenn points out, quite rightly, is the eerie timeliness of the information coinciding with the 100 year anniversary of the birth of the "great communicator". This is an area of research that has not been fully covered anywhere but that is worthy of some more in depth work. The Marconi scientists have been connected, by many, to a series of microbiologists that died under mysterious circumstances as well which would make the list of deaths much larger and even more mysterious. Marconi no longer exists as a separate company and is now a part of BAE.
The deaths of these scientists does make me think of Phillip Kramer of Iron Butterfly and his mysterious death. Since there seems to be a science angle to it as well. There has always been this underground theory that any "new" invention that would seem to "solve" energy problems by either creating an over-unity device, or tapping "zero point" energy is immediately bought up and disappeared by big money interests. One can see this expressed in the movies as far back as George C. Scott's movie "The Formula". In a strange "coincidence" George C. Scott also did "Day of the Dolphin" which is loosely based on the work of John Lilly one of the prime movers in psychedelic research who used a sensory deprivation tank and Ketamine to get rid of his migraine headaches.
And like all things conspiratorial one is lead down path after path. George C. Scott also is probably most famous for his portrayal of George Patton. It has recently come to light that Patton was murdered. Because he was a critic of the war and maybe because of what he discovered during the war that some wanted kept secret. Many might be familiar with Patton's action to move into Czechoslovakia and his liberation of Pilsen. It was in Pilsen that Joseph Farrell says Hans Kammler was in charge of the Skoda works which was part of a super secret Nazi research facility that had incredibly advanced weaponry and possibly new forms of energy based on torsion physics.
I could keep going but it would only range us further afield. Check out Steamshovel Press and the works of Kenn Thomas and have a look at the death lists. Make up your own mind as always whether we are dealing with a massive coincidence or if there is something more going on behind the scenes in the world.

Why is Bill Maher such a shill?

Bill Maher is not stupid. He obviously has intelligence. Why is it that he ludicrously supports President Obama even though Obama has so thoroughly sold out the progressives in EVERYTHING. So what do you make of a guy who is obviously intelligent and supposedly a progressive, and supposedly politically involved who absolutely refuses to accept the fact that Obama is a total sellout and a Wall Street puppet, completely the same as any Republican that Maher would be quick to ridicule. I'm a progressive and it makes me mad that people look to Maher for commentary from a progressive prospective. The best that you can find in the way of criticism of Obama is that he is "wimpy" or a "wussy" or a poor negotiator. Maher makes no mention of his inaction on Wall Street prosecution. He makes no mention of Obama's deficit commission and their recommendations to attack Social Security and other so-called "entitlement" programs. He makes no mention of Obama's own efforts to feed money to banks and Wall Street while doing nothing to address systemic crises in this country and the states. He makes no comment on Obama's sellouts on the budget and how he is so ready to attack programs that aid children and families and cut nothing that would affect the "untouchable" elites and super rich. Maher will only say that Obama is "wimpy" for selling out on the tax breaks extension for the rich.
One sees a pattern here. I see the pattern. Any intelligent person would see the pattern here. Therefore what is one to make of Bill Maher? The answer is that Maher is a shill and a cheerleader for the so-called progressive movement in this country while continuing to try and paint Obama as a real progressive that just has a few "faults" and if we just give him enough time and support he will "come through". It's a psychological operation, whether witting or unwitting, on the part of Maher himself.

What do I know about blogging anyway?

Well I guess that is sort of why you and I are here. I don't even really know what I will do with this blog. I don't know if I will even keep up with it for any length of time.
I imagine that I will use this as an extension of my video and radio work to go into greater detail on issues that I discuss on the other forums. That means you might find politics, or esoterica on this forum. My latest video on Youtube is HERE
I discuss the strikes by public employees in Wisconsin and Ohio over attempted cuts and a direct assault on unions. This is complete propaganda by the rich to make the poor blame the less poor for the economic disaster that Wall Street and the Federal Reserve have inflicted upon the USA and the world. Lies, damnable lies. Tonight on blogtalkradio (my channel can be found HERE., the episode tonight can be accessed HERE.)
